Start the morning relaxing on one of the many outdoor spaces, enjoying an alfresco breakfast and a shot of espresso in the fresh air. Afternoons are for swimming in the infinity pool, sunbathing on the lounge chairs and snoozing in the rays. Come evening, watch the spectacular pink sunset over Gallinara, then head inside to the breezy open-plan living area for dinner and drinks prepared by the chef of the group. With a small study, stylish bedrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows making the most of the panoramas, we think a family or group of friends will be more than happy here.

If you prefer a bit more activity, hop in the car and discover the Italian Riveria. Take a dip in the sea at Finale Ligure (5 kilometres away), explore the winding alleyways in historic Noli (15 kilometres away) or don your walking shoes and hike the Pilgrim's Path for stunning coastal scenery.

*Built into a hill, this home has steps both inside and out – it may not be suitable for small children or those with limited mobility
