Fantastic location and lovely little house.. Ideal for a holiday base. Highly recommended.
Cottage was great and very well situated for the places we wanted to visit on the Island.. It was clean, and the kitchen in particular was very well equipped. A couple of recommendations, the bedding could be upgraded to a better quality, and some of the towels could be a larger size, but neither detracted from our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage and would certainly recommend it to others.
Mr Redfearn, August 2019
A very well equipped house that completely satisfied all our holiday needs..
Mr Thomas, July 2019
The Isle of Wight is a bit tired and the condition of the roads is very poor in some places.. As a first time visitor the beaches are lovely and the countryside is beautiful.
Great ferry services but I thought they were quite expensive.
Great house, well equipped and near a few shops, pubs and a exceptional fish and chip shop.
Mr Oliver, June 2019
Holiday cottage very good ,settees where a bit low to the floor.. Also would like to have clean towels and bed linen when stopping for 2 weeks
Mrs Ward, June 2019
Our accomodation was absolutely lovely , everything you could ask for and more for a perfect holiday , minutes away from all amenities/sightseeing attractions/places of interest but secluded and peaceful for some chill time , would recommend and will definitely be returning at a later date , just our best holiday ever ..
Whole package exceeded our expectations and good weather was a bonus.. The property and its homely and plenteous contents were of a high standard. Media and entertainment items in abundance. Ideal situation for public transport links, which for us, included visits to family on the island. They and us have no hesitation in recommending this property. We are already talking about 'next time'.
Lovely, clean and conveniently located.. Can’t wait to go back. We are a family of 4 and the two children are small and this place was perfect for us. The little touches like games, books and dvd’s was much appreciated. The children loved playing in the garden. Lots of living space in the family room/kitchen.
A lovely, clean and comfortable house with great facilities.. Everything you need for a great stay in the IOW. Ideally situated for exploring the East and South of the Isle or further if you wish.
The house is modern, very clean and great to spend time in. It's one of the best we've ever rented and we have been to the IOW many, many times.
If a welcome pack was provided it would be 120% perfect!
Thanks to the owners for such a great place to stay, we had a brilliant time.
We loved the house and it was situated perfectly.. The only thing I would say is that the sofa’s aren’t particularly comfortable for taller people.
The cottage was spacious, light and airy, with lovely seaside-themed decor and a parking space conveniently right outside the front door.. The kitchen was stocked with good crockery and most of the utensils we needed to prepare our meals (although we missed not having a cafetiere and cheese grater). While the double bed was a bit too soft for our taste, we appreciated the extra little things such as fishing nets in the shed, and the selection of games, jigsaws, books and DVDs (our three year old son didn't use any of the ones we had brought from home for him!). We were also very impressed that the owner replaced the main TV within days of us reporting that the DVD part of it was broken.
Would definitely stay there again
Lovely house, clean and well equipped.. Would definitely recommend.
A great place to base your stay for relatively easy access to all parts of the island, plus Brading has its own vineyard on the top of the hill and a great sounding restaurant just beyond 'The Bugle' which we never had time to visit.. Fantastically well equipped for kids (books, toys, games) in fact the best cottage for this that I have ever stayed in.
10th time at this property and still excellent .. very comfortable and a great place to visit many attractions . will be back again asap
3 Old Post Office Mews is an immaculate, comfortable and extremely well-equipped holiday home.. We had a problem using the induction hob without the missing instruction booklet, but we contacted Abbie on the emergency number, and could not have received a more helpful and friendly response. Having Costcutters next door, through the arch onto the High Street, was extremely useful, as was the large Tesco superstore just a short drive away. The restaurant close by, Heima, is of a very high quality. Travel on the trains (each of which is two old London underground carriages) from Brading Station was fun. The speed of the internet on the island was our only problem. We had a lovely stay on the islandl
We had stayed at No 4 three years ago so we knew exactly what we would get for our money which is why we returned.. The furniture was not as good as in No 4 but we managed.
Brading is near St. Helens which is where we have stayed several times many years ago.
So the area is somewhere we know and love to go.
However, we are now getting on in years and decided that this would be our last visit to the IOW.
Thank you for making it possible and for giving us another super holiday.
The house was in Brading which was a lovely village.. Everything you needed. Etc pub, shop, and chippy all very near by.
Off road parking in and quiet mews. Also on main bus route.
We had a lovely time although the weather was changeable but it was early season. To be expected really.
The cottage was in a great location and was full of amenities and was warm and cosy which was perfect as the weather turned to snow over the weekend.. Very well located that we could walk to things with a young baby and also travel further afield. The cottage was just as described in the advert and I would not hesitate to use Sykes Cottages again to book our next short break.
We have stayed at this house 9 times now and still think it is brilliant .. Clean comfortable handy for all amenities it ticks all boxes for us. Will definitely be back ASAP
A beautiful place that was perfect for our family break, an extremely well equipped place it was just like a home from home.. It could have done with a 5th dining chair though!
Fantastic little cottage, in a great locations.. Very clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Cannot recommend highly enough.
This is our second stay here. We are a family of 5 and love it!
The cottage is perfect. It has everything you can think that you may need and more! It is very modern, spotlessly clean and so well presented.
We love the patio garden which is a great sun trap and good for breakfast outside!
The dvds and books add an extra touch.
Having teenage children we can also say that the wifi is perfect!
The fish and chip shop is a bonus and very nice. Along with the park on the hill with a spacious green great for a football game.
We hope to return again very soon!

THIS IS 7th TIME WE HAVE BEEN HERE AND IT IS SUPERB EVERYTIME
Mr Chapman, February 2017
Thank you all we had a great stay at this cottage in Brading.. A credit to the owners.
Mr Dzialdowski, October 2016
We had a lovely week.. The only irritation was the beds (all 4) weren't over comfortable, made worse by the plastic pillow and mattress protectors in the searing August heat. Other than that, nowt to complain about. Lovely house. Railway station 5 minutes walk, bus stops 2 minutes walk and chip shop within sniffing distance. Ace! We agree with the Chapmans of Leeds.
We like everything about this property; it is clean, comfortable and handy for everything. This was our 5th time here and it is still brilliant.
The cottage was beautifully presented and very well equipped. The games, books and DVDs were all available, which was a lovely touch. The location was perfect for accessing all the attractions and beaches. We would definitely return.

A beautiful property which was very well equipped clean and well presented..
Stayed in number 3 for a week in July. I wasn't sure what to expect having never stayed in a cottage before on holiday.
The house was wonderfully presented - clean, tidy and with a few homely touches. It had everything we could need for a 7 nights stay and more! Only found the BBQ in the shed half way through our stay.
Only minor gripe was that the blinds weren't black-out so early morning sunshine was a pain.
Very handy to have a 'corner shop' within staggering distance. And a couple of pubs for lovely evening dinners.
Great stay! Would highly recommend for families with small children.
Mrs Somers, August 2015
A lovely property on a lovely island..
A lovely property on a lovely island.
Great house that was extremely well catered and even had games and DVD's for the family. Immaculate inside and in a great location. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance and it was easy to travel around the island. Excellent communication with the owners. We all loved it and will return!
This was second time we have stayed in this property and it is excellent.

Mr Chapman, January 2015
The cottage was beautiful and warm and the parking for one car was excellent.. Décor and furnishings were excellent. Would recommend this cottage to anyone, it was really good.
Everything was excellent throughout
The situation of the cottage was perfect for us as we were visiting relatives nearby. We particularly liked the 'seaside decor' and thought it was very well put together. The convenience store 20 metres away was also an added bonus.
