Holiday home
Valley View is a lovely log cabin, situated within the village of Rhayader in Powys. Hosting a double bedroom and a shower room, this property can sleep up to two people. Completing the open plan layout, there is a sitting, kitchen and dining area. To the outside is off-road parking for two cars and a garden to the front with a hot tub and fire pit. Placed in a rural and isolated location, Valley View is a delightful retreat in a scenic part of Wales.

Accomodation Details
One bedroom: 1 x double and 1 x sofa bed ( can be made up upon request). Bathroom with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. The property is very well heated and will suit the winter months.

Area
Rhayader is a small Welsh market town with a selection of tea rooms, pubs, restaurants, amenities and unique little boutiques. An added bonus of a leisure centre with a swimming pool and a weekly livestock market. The Red Kite Feeding Station, on the outskirts of the town is a great attraction not to be missed. Rhayader is the first town on the River Wye and is home to the spectacular dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Had a lovely stay the hot tub was defently a bonus after long walks, the cabin was clean the only problem we had was the strong smell of dog it did say dogs welcome we don’t have a dog and did not put us off when we booked the smell was very strong and stayed strong the whole weekend, apart from that lovely location and views..

It certainly had the WOW Factor.. The views were amazing, the cabin was just perfect - cosy, clean and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Saturday morning soaking in the hot tub with the fantastic views and red kites flying above you! It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy complete peace and quiet. Staff are brilliant. Had a power cut on Sunday and it was dealt with straight away. Just about to book another break for September.

The cabin is lovely has everything you need in it and is very warm and cosy.. The views are amazing and we enjoyed watching the sheep when they visited. The hot tub is a huge bonus which you can enjoy after days exploring. This has to be the most peaceful and scenic cabin we have stayed in. Would love to return.

This holiday accommodation exceeded all expectations.. The pod was warm and welcoming on arrival with complimentary biscuits etc, which was a lovely touch. The hot tub was a must after long days walking and was best at night watching the stars. Sheep come and visit some days and just enhance the wonderful views from this wonderful place. The owners of this farm could not be more helpful and visit daily but do not intrude unless asked. Special visits should be arranged with Valley View Falconry handling of the birds by appointment but well worth it. The Welsh Crystal workshop should be on the list as should a walk along the Elan Valley. Food and a warm welcome from the Lamb and Flag is also a must.

The location and the set up and the positioning of the pods were ideal as no one was overlooking when using the hot tubs .. A very big plus.

Stunning views in a tranquil setting.. Property was lovely and clean and exceptionally quite considering it states its based on a working farm. Theres quite a few flies that seam to enjoy being in the cabin, which is very cosy and quaint. Would recommend taking pillows if like me, you like more then one thin one, but apart from that I would highly recommend, so much so I have already booked again for a full week, instead of a 3night stay, for next year as I didnt want to leave.

Both my husband and I absolutely enjoyed our 4 night stay at Valley View Cabin/Pod.. We are looking forward to returning very soon once again with our Border Collie Bryn, who was very secure when outside the cabin as fenced and a gated. Obviously, dogs should not be allowed out of site as sheep were grazing just yards away. It was such a beautiful relaxing place in the country. Amazing hot tub! Rhayader town was just 5mins in car and I can recommend The Triangle Inn for lovely food....DOGS ALLOWED IN TOO

This holiday was great the pod was stunning and the views breathtaking.. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday and that’s what we got.the owners were very friendly and the young boy that worked at the pods could not do enough for us he was so friendly and would sort anything out for us if we had a problem.i would definitely recommend this holiday 100% if you want a quiet relaxing holiday I booked 2pods for me and my sister and the dogs the other people on the site were also very friendly. Lovely friendly place, relaxing hot tub brilliant.. even in the rain. red kites soaring up above us, well worth a visit in the village at feeding time. the eagle pub fantastic Sunday roast. the walk around the dams excellent. the pod was good , id do a few changes if they were mine but all good. apart from no wifi at all . but we coped everybody very friendly including the owners

This site is a little gem that i would love to keep secret, but I'm afraid i won't be able to, we had the cabin called "valley view" and that describes it perfectly, the view is breathtaking! !!, open the cabin doors in the morning and you see the valley slowly bathing itself in sun light, and the sunsets from the hot tub are some of the best I've seen, the solitude is only broken by the nearby sheep, the cabin is well equipped with everything you may need, the garden is secure if you have pets with you, but what makes this small friendly site is the owners, only a call away if needed, it is run by a farming family and one of them is always around if needed, they all genuinely care about you and your happiness, a special mention must go to Alex the handyman, who would stand and chat all day long if you let him, a couple of touristy things you must do are a drive up the Elan valley and a visit to the red kite feeding station, i have had some great holidays in the past but this one has blown me away, will defiantly be back soon, thanks Dan and family you are doing an exceptional job

Valley View was everything we had hoped it would be and more! The scenery and views are incredible and the peace and quiet was spot on! Jake was always on hand if we needed him - like for building a fire - Thanks Jake : ) We drove to Elan Valley and did the National Park walk about 2 miles down the road and it was stunning. Perfect for the dogs too - they loved the freedom of the fields. My only suggestion would be that unfortunately one of our dogs likes to do his own thing and as our cabin wasn't gated off, we had to keep him on a lead at home or inside the cabin when we were in the hot tub. Other than that I would recommend this to anyone! I have put pictures on my instagra account and have had so many people wanting the details! We will definitely be returning to this little bit of Welsh paradise! Thanks so much!

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Valley View.. It was just perfect. The cabin was well equipped with everything you could need and the views were spectacular. Rolling countryside to look at whilst drinking and relaxing in the large hot tub. What more could you want from a peaceful break away from the day to day life? It made it even better as this is a pet friendly site so our 2 dogs were in their element. Without a doubt we would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet rural retreat getaway. We liked it so much we are booking again. The owners were very helpful and easily contactable. 10/10 for us. Thank you again.

We liked the pod we booked internet was hit and miss no ones fault .... We liked the pod we booked internet was hit and miss no ones fault The takeaways do not deliver and there is no taxi locally to pick up food but other than that a stunning place to visit Hot tub was fabulous I would say though that if anyone has any limitations physically do not book a pod you need to be able to climb in to the bed over the wooden end as there is no room to get in and out of the bed any other way
