Lovely setting, close to a nice beach. The Vestry is a nice building, tastefully furnished and well equipped. Our bedroom is very small, not really a double. I have to climb over my husband to get out of bed! Our bedroom and bathroom are quite dirty. (Thick dust on skirtings, mould in shower, dirty windows, dust and cobwebs everywhere, bag of crisps next to bed on floor shows noone has thoroughly cleaned). Paintwork tired, flaking off in places. Locks on outside of two bedroom doors with no keys. One of my daughters accidentally locked her sister in a room. Fortunately we managed to open it with a Swiss army knife! Was quite upsetting though, and potentially dangerous. The bbq was filthy, we spent ages scrubbing it as we couldn't have used it as it was. Outdoor area very tired. Lots of weeds, summer house smelled musty, on the whole this property is poorly maintained and not cleaned properly between guests. Not quite the 'luxury' that is advertised.

Llangrannog is idyllic and Upper Vestry is very comfortable and can accommodate up to 10 persons. There are three double bedrooms, (although the ground floor bedroom is very small and the bed is too large for the room) Two, twin bedded rooms will accommodate small children. Mattresses are hard. The cottage is well-equipped, there is constant hot water/heating and plenty of cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, efc. The outside area consists of a small patio with chairs and table, a barbecue and a summer house. This outside area needs some maintenance and the summerhouse smells musty. The interior is tastefully furnished although some areas are “tired” and need refreshing. There is off-road parking for one car. We were comfortable at Upper Vestry and were delighted to explore the wonderfully unspoilt and beautiful county of Ceredigion. We shall return.
