Perfect location for local attractions.. Very welcoming and friendly host and the cottage was immaculate! It’s also a lot bigger than the pictures seem. Highly recommend!

Wonderful comfortable cottage, very well equipped and spotlessly clean, with plenty of space for our family of five.. The views from the living area are absolutely lovely. There are peaceful walks from the doorstep and Peak District walks are only a short drive away. It is also perfect for a day at Alton Towers, only a 20 minute drive. Overall I would highly recommend for a peaceful break.

A warm and friendly welcome from the owner was only just the beginning of a wonderful enjoyable week at Upper Greenhills Farm.. This immaculately presented and well appointed accommodation enjoys the peace and quite expected of a rural situation. The views over the Staffordshire countryside, especially with the rising and setting sun, together with horses frolicking in the fields were daily sights to behold. In addition to the many local scenic walks in Staffordshire/Derbyshire, major tourist attractions include steam railway, Well Dressing in the Derbyshire villages, Crich Tramway Museum, Bakewell, Matlock Bath and, not forgetting Chatsworth House, these were all with 25 miles and 40 minutes in the car. Traffic was never a problem. Ipstones has a very well stocked Village store, two pub/restaurants serving good food and, within 5/7 miles, there are many other excellent eateries to meet all taste. In summary, what more do you need for a great holiday. It’s a must revisit.

Great views and location.. The decor is fantastic. We stayed here with my parents and there is plenty of room. Only 1 toilet but there is a well kept 1 outside the front door. Hard to find so need to follow the directions sent. Would stay again as it is lovely.

The accommodation at Upper Greenhills Farm was fantastic! A lovely barn conversion carried out to a good standard. Very clean, very comfortable, very spacious and the view was breathtaking. Just a short drive from Alton Towers and Leek, but totally "away from it all" in terms of peace and quiet. Plenty of wardrobe space in the bedrooms, well equipped kitchen with decent quality appliances, good size bathroom with a decent shower. Hostess Sue Whitehouse was friendly and accommodating and there were some really nice touches (tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided on arrival so us weary travellers could have a brew on arrival). We will definitely book again!

This is a gorgeous cottage in a stunning location and, if anything, more spacious and well-equipped than it appears in the photographs..

We have been to the property before which is why I didn't use the exceeded expections option.. The location was ideal for a totally relaxing break. We love it so much we are planning on going back later this year. The property is a 30 minute drive from Trentham Estate with some fantastic exclusive shops. Spent too much but cannot wait for our next visit.

This is a wonderful, cosy but spacious cottage.. The owner provided everything we needed including milk, tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival which was a lovely touch. It was spotlessly clean. The views from the living area are amazing and it was a pleasure to open the blinds in the morning. The bedrooms and bathroom were extremely spacious with loads of storage and a TV in every room which was useful at night time. It's location is excellent. You are less than an hour's drive from many Peak District attractions and only 10 minutes to Leek for supermarkets, takeaways etc. Alton Towers is also a only a short drive away - suprising as the cottage is situated in such a peaceful and quiet location. Would we return? Yes definitely!

The perfect trip. The cottage was finished to a very high standard, yet retained a cosy cottage/barn feel. A lovely cottage, very cosy and welcoming.. Loved the décor and layout of the cottage, it was great for 2 little boys to be running around, it was very thought through. The TVs in the bedrooms are also a treat as not something we have at home. There were absolutely gorgeous views and it was an amazing setting for a country cottage retreat.
