It's not often that I'm lost for words, but I genuinely don’t know where to start with this review.. The holiday cottage was billed as 5* accommodation, so my expectations were high but the cottage exceeded them! The loacation of this cottage is great, set apart from the other cottages on site and at the top of a little hill with incredible views. Outside has been planted with flowers, some set in an enormous stone water trough and it looked very pretty. Inside, the cottage was lovely, three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite and a large combined kitchen/dining/living room. The standard of the decor was very high and everything clean and well presented. After a long journey the welcoming pack of milk, wine and chocolates was very welcome indeed, as was the large tray of eggs! At the end of the living room were bi-fold doors, meaning that you could open them up to enjoy unspoiled views across the valley and enjoy the fresh air indoors. The hot tub was beautiful; extremely clean and placed in a way that allowed privacy combined with uninterrupted views of the countryside. The owners were delightful too, checking in a couple of times to make sure that all was well and offering advice on local attractions - in a friendly and unobtrusive manner. Did this cottage deserve 5*? Absolutely and a couple more!
