Lovely cottage nice welcoming bottle of wine when we got there.. village was a bit dull covid and weather probably didn't help. wanted to take dogs on a deserted part of the beach couldnt find how to get there. but north wales very pretty and was hoping that the cottage was more secluded and out of the way this is the only reason wouldnt book cottage again the location not the cottage .

Tyddyn was much more than we expected, if anything the pictures did not do it justice.. Mrs.Evans made us feel very welcome with a lovely cake, bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. There were even coffee, tea bags ready for us to make a drink when we arrived. The kitchen is fantastic with everything you could possibly need. Bedrooms were stunning as was the bathroom. We loved our week here and would love to come again. Thank you Mr & Mrs. Evans.

The cottage was beautiful and in a lovely setting with expansive views to the sea.. It was clean and had plenty of facilities, especially in the kitchen, most of which we didn't use, but nice to know they were there if we had wanted to. It was a 20 minute walk to the local beach or 5 minutes in the car. The local railway station was only a 10 minute walk away. Couldn't have suited us better as there is so much to see around the area and the train rides were great, along the sea's edge. We had a fantastic week. The only drawback for us was that there was only one toilet, which was in the bathroom, upstairs, so it was difficult at times with 4 adults and 2 children, but, by the end of the week, we had some sort of routine!!!!! Would strongly recommend the cottage and were impressed by Sykes Cottages Ltd, for their communications and the handling of the holiday booking.

April 2015
One of the best equipped kitchens in a holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Brilliant cooking facilities. We also especially loved the jigsaw puzzles (be prepared for some late nights if you try to tackle them). The beds were comfortable and the cottage was cosy and warm despite the wet and windy weather. All round excellent with a lovely warm, Welsh welcome!

June 2014
The cottage is in a beautiful location and is very peaceful and quiet - with just the sheep, cattle and seagulls for company. The owners live just next door but you don`t know they are there and were very pleasant when we did see them. It is in a good spot for the dog friendly beaches and our dogs just loved it. There is a hotel over the road from the cottage that serves good food and is also dog friendly. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We had one of our best weeks here - with the fabulous weather adding to our enjoyment - we sat outside and watched the sun go down on the longest day with a glass of wine! Perfect.

We found the farmhouse to be a very good and clean accommodation with wonderful views, in the peace and tranquillity of the welsh countryside, but just a short drive or train journey to all the lovely towns and attractions that Wales has to offer. Overall we had lovely relaxing chilled out holiday and would definitely re-book again and recommend to friends.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Tyddyn. It is a lovely cottage with a very pleasant garden, nice and flat for our old dog. It is very conveniently based between Barmouth and Harlech which are very easy and quick to get to by car. There is a lovely pub that you can walk to towards the beach which served nice meals. The hotel/pub (opposite) nearest the cottage wasn't very nice. The only gripe about the cottage was that the lounge was quite dark/dingy and very sparsely furnished, nothing like the on-line picture. We would certainly contemplate booking this cottage again when holidaying in the Barmouth area.
