We were very happy with this property which was a good base for walks to the Mawddach Estuary.. Ty Cosy was immaculately clean and gave us everything we required for a comfortable stay. Owner called in to check we were happy. Plenty of nice coffee shops in Dolgellau.

Nice cottage, very clean, down stairs perfect for two.. Pretty bedroom and comfy bed. The bathroom was a delight and actually gleamed with cleanliness. The town was a lovely, so many places to eat I never cooked. We had a nice holiday but left a day early because we knew a storm was coming (lucky we did). All in all a pleasant stay in a lovely area

This is a very cosy and comfortable cottage, perfectly big enough for a couple.. The parking voucher was an absolute asset and we only paid for parking once during our trip - but make sure your read the instructions (which are very clear) about which car parks you can use. Thank you for organising this for the cottage. Although the kitchen is small there is plenty of space to prepare meals and the oven and fridge are both full size. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy. I am recovering from spinal surgery and found the mattress almost as good as my own at home, which was a huge relief. Towels were plentiful and bed linen crisp and fresh. We were unlucky with the weather, which was a shame, and didn’t get to use the garden at all, but it looked delightful. We did need to use the storage heaters which took the chill off. We couldn’t get the gas fire to light, even following all the instructions, and this might need looking at if renting in autumn or winter. I have no doubt at all that had we really needed it lit we could have rung and asked for help so it wasn’t a problem for us. There is so much to do in the surrounding area and we fitted plenty in despite the weather. In the town we would highly recommend Y Meirionnydd. The service, food and value for money were fab. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

The cottage is small but absolutely fine for 2 people with all amenities and a comfortable lounge area.. The garden is beautifully planted and would have been an additional space but unfortunately we had pretty bad weather. It was great to have the parking permit - we left our car in the longstay car park in Dolgellau and it was perfectly safe. Also it was a bonus being able to use the car park in other car parks around the area. We were able to temporarily park the car outside the house at the beginning and end of the holidays so moving the luggage in and out was no problem. The cottage is in a great location - in a quiet street but only moments from the centre of Dolgellau with its shops and restaurants. The only thing you need to be aware of is the steep stairs that lead straight out from the bedroom.

The cottage was lovely and well equipped and it has a nice garden in the back. The stairway to the bedroom and bathroom is quite steep, so it may be not suited for elderly people. Supermarkets and the town center were very close by as well as some nice restaurants and cafes. You can start some nice hiking trips directly from Dolgellau, like the Mawdddach Trail or Cadair Idris and also Mount Snowdon etc. is not far off. I really enjoyed staying there.

Good location for day trips out cycling and walking.. We had some super trips in the car going off the main roads up in tbe hills and saw some realy stunning scenery. We had our holiday during the last week of June and had wall to wall sunshine every day and 28/30 deg which always helps.

This cottage was well placed for our visit to this area of Wales. Adequately furnished and comfortable, it suited our needs. The pretty back garden had plenty of seating, which was perfect for enjoying the particularly hot weather we were lucky enough to enjoy during our stay. We met the owner who was very friendly and she suggested some places that we might like to visit, which was helpful. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

The small but well maintained and furnished cottage is set down a narrow side street right in the centre of this pretty little town making it ideal for the shops and pubs. I found the cottage to be ideal for visiting the many attractions and walks in and around Dolgellau. It had everything you could want and was a bit like staying in someones home, The kitchen/lounge area on the ground floor led out to a lovely courtyard garden and the large double bedroom upstairs had a good size ensuite shower room. The owner had provided many cooking and cleaning products which saved buying them or taking them with you. The TV in the lounge was very small so you may be disappointed if you enjoy watching TV and I found car parking a problem in the narrow street otherwise I loved my weeks stay especially as I was blessed with fantastic weather for walking.

The cottage was comfortable and homely with a charming garden. It is in a quiet area of the town, but within easy walking distance of the many shops, pubs and restaurants. Dolgellau is an ideal base for touring.

The Welsh countryside was beautiful, not many tourists about in June so it was very peaceful. Found driving a real pleasure as the standard of the roads are mostly excellent. People were very friendly helpful in the town of Dolgellau we'd love to visit again soon.

It was just perfect accommodation for our break in Wales, just enough room for two. The Cottage is well equipped, including Le Creuset crockery and the bed was lovely and comfortable. The Cottage is in Dolgellau, which is set in stunning scenery, and an ideal centre for walking in the southern part of the Snowdon National Park and cycling along the Mawdach trail. Plenty of places to eat out in the village and nice pubs too. The owners provided plenty of guidance on local walks.

It looks nicer inside than in the pictures. Cosy by name and nature, and quiet. Also in a great place for the few bars and restaurants that Dolgellau has to offer.
