This is a very homely and a very comfortable cottage.. This was our second stay. Good walking from the cottage, on the flat or up in the hills depending on the weather. One small thing missing was a fire glove for the wood burner, one was really needed to put more wood onto wood burner.

This is a lovely cottage - quiet village location, with great local shop for essentials. Really close to some superb beaches. The house has everything you will need - lots of thoughtful touches that make you really feel at home, with delicious bara brith cake on arrival! We felt very comfortable here and could relax and enjoy our break. The children enjoyed the enclosed garden and it was really clean and well equipped.

Ty Cerrig is an absolutely lovely cottage. It's so clean, fresh and bright with everything you could ever want. You can see the sea from the lounge and bedroom. The downstairs toilet came in very handy and the bara brith and flowers were a lovely touch. A lovely week spent here with the family. Thankyou so much.

The owner was extremely kind and helpful as part of our route was closed by snow [The Beast from the East] for two days which meant we could not arrive until the Sunday, our booking was due to commence on the previous Friday.. We were in daily contact with Mrs Edwards who gave us a very warm welcome when we finally arrived. This was our second visit and the property is well suited to out of season visits.

It's just perfect. It was clean, in a nice location, great parking, warm! And had good privacy. One bathroom but another toilet downstairs. We came in two cars with almost our entire house packed for our baby, and had ample space to house everything we brought. This cottage stocks everything and it's so spacious. It's comfortable and relaxing and you can really feel at home here all the small details had been taken care of before we arrived. The location is not too remote either which was nice for such a big rental with a huge garden! Plenty of everything supplied along with some welcoming gifts from the owner :) as a youngish couple who came with a teenager (my sister) and a 6 month old baby it was and ideal place to make camp. We visited the national slate museum, Barmouth, Portmerion, and Coed y Brenin for some mountain biking. It's exactly what you see in the photos :) will book here again if visiting the same area for sure!

Beautiful cottage with amazing views.. So much to do we hardly scratched the surface. Kids paradise, such friendly people and every attraction we went to bent over backwards for our disabled son, particularly Stephan at the Snowdon cafe, Beaumaris castle, Harlech castle, festiniog railway! Thank you, wonderful holiday.

The cottage on arrival was more than we could have expected. Beautifully presented and equipped to a very high standard. All our requirements were met - even the needs for the baby. Views and sun-sets were spectacular, lovely garden space for the 2yr old, he loved seeing the rabbits playing in the garden every morning. This has been one of the best we have had the pleasure of using and we cannot wait for our next visit. Thank-you Mrs Edwards and your Daughter for you hospitality.

The cottage met all our expectations and much more .. The location was stunning, sea views and beautiful sunsets. The cottage was exceptionally well equipped - one of the best we have had the pleasure to use. We were a party with grandchildren including a baby and all our needs had been covered by the owner. Really homely feel to the property with welcome pack which was a lovely touch. Great outdoor space for 2 year old to play, he loved watching the rabbits every morning. We were very lucky to have good weather but I can imagine even with the wildest of weather outside with the wood-burner on you would be very cosy. We all loved everything about this property and it is definitely one we cannot wait to return to in the future.

On arrival we found an immaculately neat cottage waiting for us. The amenities in the cottage are modern and clean and refined. If you don't want to use your car, then the cottage well situated within walking distance of a train station and bus stop, it's easy to explore or go shopping using public transport. The homely atmosphere and rustic environment was a welcome get-away. Don't expect a reasonable internet connection though.

On arrival we received a warm welcome from the owner. The property was well equipped and had a good sized garden (my boys had fun running around and rolling down the small grassed slope in the lawn). There was ample parking space, the property was well equipped and was situated in a good place - a 10 min walk from local shop, half hour walk from beach (with our two boys 3yrs and 8 yrs) or a five min drive. We were very fortunate with the weather so had every meal outside using the good quality garden furniture, and spent many an evening sat outside watching the sun go down over the sand dunes - a beautiful view.

October 2013
The location was perfect, scenery good, and although in a village it was very quiet, perfect! This was a wind down holiday for both myself and my daughter as we both have very stressful jobs, we could not have asked for a better property to allow us to do this.
Mrs Westwick
August 2013
The cottage was exceptionally clean and well equipped, particularly the kitchen. Although not isolated, it was a very quiet location and perfectly situated for all our outings - Barmouth, Harlech, Conwy, Caernarfon, Porthmadog as well as offering easy access to beach, bike rides and walks for all the family. The children especially enjoyed the lovely garden.

pictures on internet looked great, the reality was even better, the property was lovely and clean and spacious and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday, the garden is well maintained and quite large, the views from the property are fantastic, if your fortunate enough the sunsets are brilliant, I would recommend this property to anyone one who asked, we were a family of 5 adults, but children would have loved the garden and freedom to play safely out doors.
Mrs Yates
August 2012
The garden and proximity to the beach. Also the fact the cottage was so well equipped made it a real home from home. The lovely cake and flowers put in on our arrival date were a lovely touch.

Lovely quiet and spacious accommodation with beautiful views and easy access to the main routes along the coast.

July 2012
We liked the distant sea views and the sheep and lambs in the adjoining field. The welcome present of a cake and flowers left by the property owner was a nice touch. The local butcher sold super meat. We liked the peace and quiet of the area and the log fire at night. Nice local pub food from several pubs. All good! Local Italian restaurant was fantastic with sea views. I do a lot of mountain biking and some good local trails up into the hills again with stunning views. Powerful shower, with plenty of hot water throughout the day.

One of my main considerations is availability of public transport and village amenities, and this location proved excellent in both respects. The accommodation was very well equipped, clean and comfortable, and I am already considering returning in the very near future.
