The house was beautifully clean and there were some lovely small touches by the owners who lived locally, such as a fire ready to go and food bits in the fridge.. They were so friendly and warm to us. We loved our stay.

This is a beautiful cottage, really warm and cosy and a lovely coversion with all the old features.. We found milk, coffee and Welsh cakes when we arrived, which was a great welcome. The location is perfect for exploring Wales on the mountain bikes. We'll certainly be coming back, thanks!

I always check when booking a holiday all the detail so that the holiday is enjoyed by everyone in our party.. On his occasion, I would say that everything was as described and the accommodation was perfect for our needs. The cottage had all we required and the owners very attentive of guests needs. A very pleasant area to visit. I would recommend a stay in this perfect Welsh cottage.

Only criticism was the lack of mirrors! Only bathroom upstairs and main bedroom.

June 2018
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming.. We had a little trouble locating the cottage as Google Maps took us into the village to an address that was incorrect and Mar& Mrs Tomos stood out the front and waited to hail us down. Despite being on a busy road the cottage was well soundproofed and very cosy. Highly recommended for anyone considering a stay in North Wales/ Snowdonia.

The Cottage was warm and welcoming, as were the owners.. It was clean, tidy and fresh. We were welcomed with coffee, Welsh cakes and fresh flowers. Really lovely touches. Beds were really comfortable with good quality linen. The location is rural enough to feel like you are away from the rat race, but you are in really easy driving distance of loads of great activities for all the family. Yes there is a fairly busy road outside but it's the road you need to get to all the good places so it's good just to be able to get on to your destination straight away. They have a lovely little garden for the cottage so you can sit in the sun and relax. The cottage has a washing machine which was very handy as well as a downstairs loo (also has an upstairs bathroom with toilet, bath etc and a separate shower room). It's really excellent. Mr and Mrs Tomos should be very proud. We couldn't fault it.

Ty Capel Jeriwsalem was warm and cosy on our arrival, and remained so throughout the week.. The cottage was perfect for us, and I thought the attention to detail in the restoration was very clever. The owners have struck a great balance between offering their guests comfort, yet keeping the character of an old Welsh cottage. It contained everything we might need, with some thoughtful extras and a great selection of books and dvds. An impression was created of the cottage being someone's home, rather than just somewhere available for hire. The owners themselves are a lovely couple, very welcoming and helpful. A very nice hostess tray left out for us with fresh coffee, tea and bara brith, and even an Easter Egg!! Ieaun even helped me with my research. We couldn't have asked for more. We knew we would be staying in a lovely part of Wales, as I had spent several holidays there as a child. However, we had underestimated the dramatic scenery and the friendliness of the locals. I recalled a statement made 17 years ago by a family friend who we took on holiday to this part. Having just come back from a round-the world-trip, he stated 'why on earth did we go all the way to New Zealand when we had this virtually on our doorstep?' And two things this time that we weren't expecting - the weather was more than acceptable for end of March, despite the dreary weather forecasts, and the excellent state of the roads. Not a pothole to be seen, where in England the journey ends up being like a slalom in trying to avoid them. What does Wales get so right, that we can't in England?!!

June 2017
The cottage is located on the main road quite close to the village of Trawsfynydd so it's easy enough to find and get to. We'd read a few comments regarding the noise of passing traffic but have to say we didn't notice it and we live in an extremely rural area so I don't think it would be an issue for most people. The cottage is set at an angle to the road with the small chapel in front and a lovely private garden to the side. The cottage itself was spotless and had everything I needed, which was brilliant as I prefer to cook when I'm away, upstairs the shower room is separate to the bathroom/toilet, with 2 teenagers this was a godsend! We were really lucky with the weather, there are lovely walks/ mountain bike trails close by, we visited the beach and castle at Harlech, Swallow Falls at Capel Curig, Conwy Castle, the Great Orme and Landudno. The highlight of our week was climbing Snowdon, it was amazing. If you're planning on visiting North Wales you really couldn't find a nicer more homely place to stay, the owners live close by and they were really lovely and so helpful. We knew we were onto a winner when we arrived to a waiting tea tray complete with Welsh cakes, it was the perfect start to a perfect week, thank you!

Everything that could be provided for your use and comfort is here. We prefer to have a chance to make our own food when away for any length of time, and we had no problem doing so. The supermarket is a short drive away, so finding provisions is no problem. The cottage is a perfect size for two couples, or a family of four (perhaps not very young children who can't handle stairs). The toilet on the main floor is handy, and the separate shower and bathroom is efficient. Having a washer/dryer was also a lifesaver. The cottage is on a fairly busy road, but we really didn't find the noise an issue at night. We did find that shutting the window minimized the noise almost completely if it was busy. This cottage is so charming you won't want to leave. It is private and immaculate. Mr. and Mrs.Tomas are great hosts. In addition to providing you with a wonderful stay, they are interested in assisting you with information on the area, and hearing about your experiences. It is very well centered for driving to so many areas where sightseeing and adventures can be had within a drive of an hour or less. We have stayed in many B&B's and a few cottages, and Ty Capel Jeriwsalem is a the top of its game.
Mrs Hanson
September 2014
The cottage was well planned and equipped. There were appropriate period features though out the cottage but it was a modern holiday home with all the facilities you would expect. It was warm and cosy in all rooms and the wood burner in the lounge was a bonus.
Mr Knight
August 2014

June 2014
We had a really wonderful holiday. The cottage was very clean, the kitchen was excellently equipped and the cottage owners were very friendly. In the living room we could find all the important information about the cottage and the surroundings, with leaflets for all tourist attractions! We enjoyed watching the sheep from the kitchen windows. The location made it possible to explore the whole of North Wales, especially Snowdonia national park. There was enough parking space in front of the Chapel. We fully recommend this property.
Mrs Gornall

July 2013
We had a very nice welcome by Mr ansd Mrs Tomas and the cottage was a surprise by its location behind the chapel but once inside what a delightful place clean, very well appointed, warm, complete with a log fire and a very nice welcome pack. The beds were very comfortable and with a shower room and two toilets it was a perfect place for four people to stay. It is a little way from the nearest village of Trawsfynydd and although located near a busy road the cottage is behind the chapel and traffic noise was not a problem. The location is great surrounded by open countryside and a good central place for visiting many local places of interest especially the narrow gauge railways. Portmadog, the home of the Ffestiniog railway is only 11 miles away and in the course of our week's stay we visited a narrow gauge railway every day! With sheep just outside the kitchen it was just a lovely place to stay and we would thoroughly recommend this cottage.
Mr Winterson
May 2013

I have stayed in quite a few cottages and this was by far the cleanest. It was absolutely spotless. Cosy and warm with or without the wood burner on and it was a novelty to be making the morning cuppa with a lamb watching me the other side of the kitchen window! Owners were friendly and laid on a welcome tray with cakes. Would definitely go back, looking forward for a return visit.

The property was absolutely fabulous, renovated to a very high standard and impeccably clean and tidy. The owners were very welcoming with a Christmas tree, home baked mince pies and the log burner ready to light. All information about the cottage and surroundings was well presented even down to the local OS map being available. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, providing coffee and Welsh cakes. The property was very clean and the house has been renovated to a very high standard. There was some road noise, but generally because of the lovely house and beautiful surrounding areas we did not mind. The area is absolutely stunning. Excellent cycling tracks in the forest just a few miles from the cottage. Stunning beaches near Porthmadog. Walking opportunities right from the house, and on the other side of the hill the Roman Steps are a lovely walk. I would highly recommend this cottage again.
