A lovely tucked away holiday accommodation, in a ideally convenient position to do site seeing.. Used the outdoor heated pool everyday. Walked to the friendly local public house, had a nice meal also a good pint. The owners had left milk, vegan cookies, cleaning materials. Coffee and tea (loads of different flavours) oil, salt and pepper and more. Thank you xx We went on a Zipwire(brilliant) visited; picturesque Polperro a painters paradise; Saltash by the Tamar bridge; Seaton beach, Whitsand bay(very long way down to the beach lots of steps!); an ideal relaxing, quiet secluded accommodation, which I would happily stay again.

The bungalow we stayed in was lovely and we felt that the pictures on the website did not do it justice.. I did find the heated outdoor pool a little to cold for me and could of done with being a couple of degrees warmer at this time of year.

The online description does not do this accommodation justice.. My husband and I enjoyed a very relaxed get away from it all week here. The log burner was very nice. The only negative thing I can say is that the traffic on the main road can get a little busy which makes it difficult to get out of the sideroad leading to the site. We however did not hear any noise from this road as the site is situated well away from this. Lovely back garden with visiting wildlife. The accommodation is a credit to the owners

We love this cottage and have been here before. Unfortunately the summer room was alive with flies and we spent quite some time using fly spray but they kept reappearing. We gave up and didn’t use the summer room.

The cottage was very dirty cutlery crockery pans all had to be washed before use , floors in bedroom were dusty and lots of fluff , bed headboard was full of fluff, shower was covered in sand and dirt curtains needed a good wash they were dusty and me being an asthma sufferer it was too dusty, the cottage needed a good clean..

Very friendly place to stay.. Excellent facilities for the children. As well as the swimming pool, tennis court, badminton and table tennis, we had access to swing ball, bbq, and lots of family board games.

One thing. On arrival the cottage was cold and it would have been a really nice touch to have the heating put on an hour before we got there..

Nogmaals:............. Wow

Overall, the cottage was beautiful, very cosy, and far away from the hustle and bustle.. Perfect! Minor issues raised with the owner, but they were very minor.

The cottage was peaceful, roomy and very clean. The accommodation was so relaxing; we especially liked the summer room. We loved all the window aspects which were so light and great for watching the birds that came to visit every day. There was plenty of wardrobe space (which you don't always get) and even a place for wet beach balls and the like.

The advert does not do justice to this amazing property, the owners are delightful and very helpful. A wonderful centre for Devon and Cornwall. It is equipped with every thing you need and to an exceptional standard. We all loved it!

August 2014
The cottage was fabulous and the location was lovely and quiet with a few things on site to keep children entertained. My son particularly loved the outdoor pool. The cottage was really clean and the owner added some nice touches. I would highly recommend and hope to go back.
April 2014
When we entered the property we were immediately impressed with the space and layout. The owner had added several thoughtful touches, a welcoming bottle of wine and toothbrushes for those who may have forgotten to pack them, as often happens. There were only the two of us , but the property would be comfortable for a family. The best recommendation I can give would be to say that we phoned Sykes Cottages the day after arriving and booked another week in June.

We were here for a passing out parade at HMS Raleigh so needed somewhere with good facilities to get dressed up etc. We were very impressed with the cottage, it is well equipped, spacious and beautifully kept. We loved the log burner.
