on the 16/03/2019 we got stuck in the flood and a owner offered if we wanted to stay a night at her cottage. And at 12 she was making the beds for us and she was a lovely owner. And we stayed here it was lovely cottage and nice and warm and cosy.In the cottage the there very thing you needed for self catering. Also she leaned her phone. The owner was very polite and very helpful her cottage was vintage and my sister loved the stairs. very cosy and not far from the pub.on the 17/03/2019 she bought us some free milk and some tea bags and some bread and some breakfast and she was a very nice lady and she was there if you needed her.Alao very thing in the cottage smelt very nice.

The cottage was much smaller than expected, the beds were very uncomfortable, the shower was ridiculously bad and we believe the heating was controlled wirelessly from a nearby house as we were unable to control the heating from within the house.. There was no internet and only 3 tv channels. The whole house desperately needs modernising. There wasn't even any complementary tea and coffee. We were extremely disappointed by the accommodation as a whole.

Firstly the area is beautiful and very quiet and we loved the chance to relax in such a friendly area.. Unfortunately the cottage didn't meet the usual standards we know and love. The radiator in one of the bedrooms didn't work, the fan heater in the bathroom cut out after 20 seconds and the extraction fan in the kitchen didn't work, so we had to have the front door open when cooking. The owner did call around during our stay and asked if everything was ok, which we thought was inappropriate and didn't feel it was the right time to talk about the issues as this would have led to people in the cottage working on them during our stay when they should have been sorted between guests. We hope this information will help sort the problems for future guests, and we are sure our next cottage in February will meet the usual standards.

A really lovely cottage in a fantastic area.. The cottage had almost everything you could ever need for a relaxing holiday. The log fire really warmed up the living room on a cold autumn evening. Would have benefitted from possibly providing the basics e.g. Milk, coffee, tea etc for those who arrive later in the day. When you've just arrived after a long drive, the last thing you want to do is search for a shop or supermarket. Also tub chairs in lounge rather uncomfortable.

Very nice cottage.. Visited at start of November, so needed log fire on, but it doesn’t ‘draw’ very well so we couldn’t really get it to light properly. One of Radiators in one of the bedrooms doesn’t work either. Electric blankets were welcome though. Generally a nice cottage.

There was no shower which is not what we expected.. The spiral staircase was very narrow and it was scary going up and down.

Incredible location.. Exactly What we were looking for, a short 20 minute journey to mount Snowdon. Perfect all round.

The cottage was brilliant, great location & very cosy! X The only thing we would change is having a shower in there instead/aswell as a bath!

A charming cottage with lots of potential and in a good location for Snowdonia.. it does require updating as the furniture and décor look tired and outdated. As per other customer comments a stand up shower would be of benefit. We didn't get to meet the owners but i think the cleaning standards dropped on this occasion as first impressions didn't meet our expectations.

We enjoyed our stay and the cottage was very nice and in a handy location.. I think the main improvements I would suggest would be to fit a shower instead of the bath and it would be nice to replace the 2 tub chairs with a 2 seater settee. We would definitely consider using the cottage again.

The skyes cottage represenitive was extremely friendly and helpful when booking my stay.. Cottage does not have wi fí. the signal in the area is very poor and making phone calls is a problem too. So if u are relying on internet to do research about the area have your preparation done before u arrive. The cottage has everything u would need for your stay. It really is pretty and the area v beautiful like stepping back in time. Only thing the mattress are near end of their life :)

It was a lovely little cottage in a small, beautiful village.. The cottage had all the amenities you could have needed for a weekend away. We loved the spiral staircase although it would be difficult to get up and down if you had any mobility problems.

No,cottage was excellent you don't need to worry about what to take with you,it's got everything, would recommend.. .
July 2016
I stayed in the cottage with my partner, our two friends and our dog and had a wonderful stay. The cottage is in an excellent location, in the small village of Penmachno, but close to Betws-y-Coed just 5 minutes down the road. The local pub is just around the corner from the cottage and is dog friendly. We were in North Wales to visit Surf Snowdonia and Velocity zip line, which were both amazing, and very close by. The cottage was very cosy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The spiral staircase would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We loved the log burner, and had this on every evening, which was very relaxing. The price of the cottage was very reasonable for 4 adults, so we would definitely consider staying here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A very cosy old cottage, loved everything from the sheep waking us up eating the flowers, to the well stocked wood supply for the burner. The great hosts couldn't have been more helpful. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in a very friendly community, this is it.
