After a week at treetops I was very happy with the accomodation , I found it spacious and well laid out perfect for a family of 4. We initially had issues with both single mattresses in the second room but upon contacting the owner it was quickly resolved with new mattresses the next day. Very happy with the communication and service from the owner. The property is nicely situated on a quiet area with plenty of parking outside. The location is great with Lidl and Morrisons supermarkets close and the beach at Rhos on sea and Colwyn bay only a mile away . We had a busy holiday with zip world , adventure park Snowdonia , Glasfryn Park all within a hours drive so lots to keep kids (teenagers) occupied . All in all I would recommend Treetops to friends and happily come back another time .

This accommodation was filthy, wouldn’t put a dog in here. We had to clean dishes, cutlery etc for our own use and then clean a shelf to put them on for our use. We were frightened to touch anything as it was so dirty, filthy cutlery drawer, kitchen cupboard fronts needing cleaning, dust everywhere, dead flies on the floor. Far too many things to mention, definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Location was great ideal for local beaches.. Quiet street. The host was very friendly on the phone. The instructions pack was very easy to understand. Tea coffee and a bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. The cottage itself could be great with some work. It smelt very musty throughout our stay, we had to open the windows and doors everytime we were in the lounge. This may have been due to the cottage being shut for a few months. As we were ground floor you could hear everything that upstairs were doing, which made sleeping difficult on occasion. Shower was good, no issues with hot water even though we had at least 1 shower each everyday (4 of us). There was less than 1 toilet roll for us to use which was a bit annoying as we had to go and buy some, a minor issue though. The main bed was comfy, the 2 single beds were a bit springy, ok for kids anyone older than younger children might struggle. All in all a good base for the area, it felt like it hadn't had a real deep clean prior to arrival, which made us limit the time we wanted to spent in the cottage.

As a frequent traveller I really appreciate a home away from home, this lovely house was perfect: clean, extremely quiet and very spacious, with lovely views.. Though very centrally locate, the place felt very safe, secluded and private. Gorgeous and peaceful, with everything you need for an extended stay! A huge kitchen, a lovely dining room/ lounge. Comfortable beds, good hot water, wifi, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. A secluded spot to sit outside and drink coffee and even a clothes line! I felt very serene and welcome. Highly recommended! Thank you!

The location was great and the appliances in the cottage.. But the property itself smelt really badly of damp so much so our clothes smelt of it too when we got them home and had to rewash everything. Also there was a local dog that kept coming into our front yard and pooing in there. Which isn’t good when we have a two year old who couldn’t play out there. The cottage would be perfect if it didn’t smell really badly of damp.

This was a pleasant place to stay! The property smelt lovely when we first arrived but it was later replaced by a horrible smell from the leather coach and chair! It was during a heat wave so I don't know if that made a difference to any beeswax treatment etc, Also no locks on the toilet and bathroom which was embarrassing for a group of adults. Other than that it was a pleasant stay!

Brilliant week at Treetops.. Shaun was so helpful, he even carried our bags and things in for us. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was a superb host. The location was excellent, Rhos on sea was only 5 minutes down the road, Llandudno 10 minutes, Conwy 20 mins, caernarfon 30 mins. I would recommend going to them all also snowden, bewts-y-coed. The Welsh mountain zoo is only round the corner but we found it lacking and very hilly!. Take a trip to Hickorys for a meal with a difference. We chilled and relaxed at Treetops, opened our curtains every morning to the the trees, squirrels and the sound of sea gulls. Many thanks Shaun.

The walk down to the promenade is a gentle 10 minutes stroll, and only 25 minutes if you go via the shops. The promenade itself is lovely and wide and you can walk a fair distance in either direction. Stayed here with another couple and it is so peaceful and relaxing. The apartment has everything you could need, including a bottle of wine and milk on arrival. We had a Sainsbury's shopping delivery - the driver struggled to find us, but he's been now so should be easier for the next people to order - lol. The only real downsides to the actual apartment are that it could probably do with new mattresses - the double bed has roll-together, whilst you can feel all the springs on the single beds; the toilet and bathroom doors don't have locks on them - probably ideal if you are visiting with young children but not so much when you are sharing with another couple; the DVD player is actually a PlayStation whatever, and doesn't appear to work properly - not really a problem as we were out most of the time. If you're looking for a relaxing break and don't mind a little walking, this is the ideal place to stay. Less than an hour's drive to Snowdonia - check out the free Slate museum - actually a lot better than it sounds; on a lovely coastline, though don't try to get to other beaches on a Sunday afternoon, lol. Thanks Sean for a nice stay in your apartment - hopefully this review will help others realise that it is close enough to the beach etc.

A lovely apartment very spacious in a quiet location overlooking trees at the back. Everything was very clean on arrival nice to come to after a long journey. In the fridge was a bottle of wine and a pint of milk which was an added touch. The apartment has free wi fi which is good if you need it. Shaun the owner was very helpful telling you everything you needed to know about the apartment and the surrounding areas. Outside the apartment the front does need tidying up a bit by the entrance perhaps some more pots of flowers ect. But thats just a minor detail. Distance to seafront and shops is more than 15 minutes walk down hill

What a fantastic, relaxing holiday we have just had! Treetops is a beautiful ground floor apartment in a fantastic, peaceful location. The apartment is very roomy and beautifully decorated and furnished. There was everything we needed. We were more than happy with it. There's a lovely patio on which we could sit and chill with a glass of wine! At the rear of the property there is a secluded area overlooking......treetops! The location is a great base for visiting North Wales. We were minutes from a variety of shops and supermarkets as well as the beach. Shaun, the owner, is a lovely man who greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of the property and left us a lovely bottle of wine well chilled in the fridge! Many thanks, Shaun. Hope to see you next year.

Some people apparently think that Treetops is too far from the promenade but it is only a gentle 10 minutes stroll down to the promenade, 25 minutes if you go via the nearby shops.. Lovely quiet location, near the nature reserve. A few little negatives - beds could do with new mattresses - double bed has roll together, and singles, you can feel the springs. The hob needs remarking or instructions as to which knob works which ring, as you currently have to play a guessing game. Also, the PlayStation that doubles as a DVD player, didn't seem to want to work. Sean is very helpful and when we told him that there was an issue with the hot water, he got it sorted the same day.

An excellent apartment in a quiet area of Rhos on Sea.. It is very well appointed with modern appliances. A spacious and comfortable place to spend a few days exploring the beaches and historic sites nearby. We stayed with our 1 year old daughter, Shaun ensured all our needs were met and the apartment is great for kids. Would highly recommend this accommodation and the area as a whole.

We had a most enjoyable stay at Treetops.. The accommodation was very comfortable and so well equipped. Treetops is in a wonderful location with easy access to transportation, a quiet and scenic area with nature walks near. The rooms were spacious and nicely furnished. The owner was very welcoming and helpful in explaining the operation of equipment. We were extremely satisfied with Treetops and would be delighted to stay again in the future.

Just returned from spending one week at Treetops, Easter 2018; had a wonderful time.. Apartment comfortably met all expectations; good location, pleasant walk to beach at Rhos on Sea; equally pleasant walk to the pubs, too. Shaun was a wonderful host from the moment we arrived, helpful, with a full tour of the apartment; plus the nice added touch of a bottle of wine left in the fridge. Provided plenty of help and advice regarding the surrounding area, with the appreciated: ‘anything you need, just ask’. Would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in North Wales, without hesitation. Ideal location for exploring the wider area of Snowdonia and beyond. Although we found this property to be spacious and comfortable in many ways (lounge, bathroom, kitchen and size of main bedroom), two things needed immediate attention in our opinion. There was an unpleasant musty smell of damp in the entrance hall and small bedroom and the mattresses definitely need replacing. (The drawers in that bedroom also need replacing.) The TV was of good quality, WiFi and bottle of wine was welcome. We would consider a return visit if these matters were attended to as Rhos on Sea is a great place and makes a good base to explore Wales. Very disappointed with Sykes Cottages as they have not published my review on their site despite contacting them several times. Won’t book through them again.

When we arrived , the smell of dampness was apparent.. The heating was adequate but still did not stop the dampness . There was mildew on a bedroom wall and the shower curtain was black . We kept on opening windows to get rid of condensation . We were only there three days but would not have liked to stay longer.
