As we've stayed in Trederwen before we already knew the house and facilities.. Would more than happily recommend Trederwen to anyone, and would also visit again ourselves. The house boasts a lovely huge garden, and spacious accommodation. And the owner does a rather nice welcome hamper, too! From the garden you can watch Red kites throughout the day and there is a local feeding station so you can witness these amazing birds from quite up close. Rhayader itself has various shops/pubs/restaurants/takeaways all within a few minutes walk from the house and there are also some nice walks along the river Wye. The area is outstanding and has a lot to offer. Visits to the Elan Valley are very highly recommended.

Fantastic house that photos didnt do justice.. Everything you could need all on one level. Garden is the star and our dogs loved exploring and run and exploring it. Garden room with log burner also great. Spotlessly clean and ideal for exploring local area with walks from the lovely village. Nearby Elan dams spectacular and also Ynslas beach near Borth a must for those with dogs. Thanks Mike for a great week and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend.

Appreciated the thoughtful ‘welcome’ basket.. We enjoyed every single item. We also enjoyed our stay very much. The bungalow is well equipped with everything one could need. The only downside is the hot water pressure, which could be solved so easily with the installation of a pump.

We had a lovely break here.. Great location. very quiet considering how close to town centre. Very comfortable beds. great shower. I would recommend this property without hesitation.

The cottage was excellent.. It was clean, warm, comfortable and homely. The owner (Mike) provided good information about the area and was very helpful. The welcome 'goody hamper' was also much appreciated. The cottage was ideally suited for a stroll to the local shops and there were a number of eateries close by, including at least five pubs - all serving food. There are many places to visit for those willing to drive up to an hour or so. These include the coast, country villages and Red Kite 'feeding stations..' The most stunning visit is to the Elan Reservoirs - not to be missed ! We visited places by car so that we could see as much as possible, but the area is without doubt a brilliant location for those who prefer a walking holiday.

The Bungalow was lovely very comfortable a home from home.. Lovely position in the town but very quiet. The kitchen lacks a few utensils. It was quite dark on the front porch could do with an outsid light.

Decided to give this bungalow a try as stayed in nearly all local hotels, probably the best find possible. What a lovely place to hang out for the weekend, great value, great standards and you get a sense of real pride in the place. Loads of really interesting information layout out for new comers to Rhayader, I'm not as this is my family home town. Little touches like coffee, tea milk etc all there for you, lovely hamper on arrival. I would heartedly recommend this bungalow, I don't think your find a better stay locally..

This was our second stay at Trederwen and it did not fail to impress us as much as it had done during our first visit.. The bungalow is very well presented, equipped and beautifully furnished. The welcome hamper is not only very "welcome" but has obviously been compiled with thought and consideration. If you are visiting with your dog(s) the fully enclosed rear garden is an absolute godsend. The town location of Trederwen is just off the Rhayader high street but it has the feeling of seclusion and is very quiet. It is ideally located for exploring the Elan Valley, surrounding countryside and the West Wales coast. It is with great pleasure that we can truly recommend Trederwen.

Bungalow was very clean and warm.. The hamper left for us was amazing and very much appreciated by us all. The garden is fully enclosed which is great if you have a dog. There are lovely walks around the area which we enjoyed. We would definitely return to the bungalow. We did feel that a bigger fridge would have been helpful with a family and better water pressure in the main bathroom.

This bungalow is perfectly located for our needs, having family living nearby.. The property is always clean, comfortable and warm. The owner is helpful, accommodating and easily contactable. This was our third visit and, like Arnold Schwartzenneger, we will be back.

Such a convenient location.. Was easy walking distance to centre of Rhayader, with its coffee shops, pubs and supermarkets. However, you would not know it when you got into the bungalow with its spacious garden. Only a short drive to lots of local attractions. The Red Kite Feeding Centre was truly spectacular - well worth a visit!

We had very specific requirements because one of the party has medical needs.. The person at Sykes contacted the cottage's owner even before I booked, to ensure those needs could be met. We had a lovely week in a comfortable bungalow and enjoyed, not only it's beautiful garden but also the many things to do in the area.

The bungalow was lovely and especially the fantastic garden.. We loved watching the red kites circling overhead and really enjoyed our visit to the red kite feeding centre. The welcome pack was amazing - the best we have ever had at a holiday cottage. A cottage we will definitely be returning to.

Our family of 5 stayed in the bungalow for a week and found it excellent. It Is a few minutes from the town centre, with places to eat and drink but is also so quiet that we loved sitting out in the lovely back garden and watching the red kites. The bungalow was well maintained and very clean and tidy. The kitchen was full of plates, cups etc and although we didn't make a main meal in the kitchen there was all the equipment you would need. The welcome pack from the owner was so thoughtful. Rhayader is a really well located town, we had a trip to the beach at Aberystwth; to the national showcaves near Bangor along with a lovely trip to Ludlow and some of the local welsh towns like Llandrindod wells and Welshpool along with visiting the Elan Valley dams.

What a lovely bungalow. It is really nicely equipped and very comfortable. The garden is especially lovely and private. I would agree with the previous comment about the freezer and pump for the shower. The bungalow is in a fantastic location with some lovely walks from the doorstep. For more challenging and longer walks you only need to drive about 20 minutes. Definitely hope to go back to this one!

Arrived Saturday with the family, plus our Cocker Spaniel. Was expecting a dated bungalow, however, was amazed when walked through the door. Spacious, immaculately clean, modern and eye pleasing property. Bedrooms are of a lovely size, with beautiful clean bedding. Such comfy pillows and mattresses, which is such a bonus compared to other places we've stayed. The kitchen is modern and in a lovely colour scheme. The only thing missing would be a freezer, which if lost for space, could have been placed in the garage, which is accessible from the property. Wonderful having two bathrooms, although the water pressure is a little low on the hot water, and could do with a pump to speed it up a little, although the bathrooms are decorated very well. The garden room is wonderful, and it was lovely having a separate tv in the garden room, so that my two teenagers could catch up on their programmes in the evening, whilst we watched something more mind taxing than Love Island. The country garden is to die for - huge compared to ours, and my little Cocker Spaniel thinks he's died and gone to heaven, we have trouble getting him to come in - so much space to play out there. and table with chairs at top and bottom of garden for us. Plenty of parking in the front garden, which is gated. Also the added bonus of wi-fi that works, which is great. If I could package this bungalow and garden, and take it home, I would. It is quite a long and windy road drive to most attractions, but the bungalow is perfect for relaxing in.
