Really nice stay at this lovely cottage.. Well appointed and in a good kept condition. Yes it’s at the top of a very steep hill, but the views, well they are worth the walk up. The small rear patio area provides exceptional views over Dartmouth and the river Dart. The road is fairly quiet, but parking is hard to secure. Be prepared for a bit of a walk and the road side parking is on a very steep hill.
If your after a cosy cottage holiday then this will serve you well. Plenty of extra stuff inside re tv, video player, books, games and ample wardrobe space.
Minor comments (related to housekeeping)
- complimentary biscuits and milk were out of date
- a few more toilet rolls would be useful. Two for a 4 person stay for a week is not enough
- now it’s warming up the rear outside space needs a clean
- the beds should have mattress protectors fitted
Would we stay again - yes. The above are the only issues we encountered and easily sorted.
We paid £550 for a week in late April and thought it was value for money.
If your headed to Dartmouth, check the offers on each night in the pubs and restaurants, there are some 2 for 1 deals. Fantastic full English breakfasts at Bayards Cove Inn.
M&S food hall and a Coop store in town for your milk and wine!
