The property is really small, especially the kitchen, shower room and bedroom. Only two small towels provided for a ten day stay, so had to buy own. No bath mat in tiny shower room and had to buy one as far to slippy and dangerous.
The mat in kitchen is a trip hazard. Never used the little kitchen table as one of the dinning chairs felt very rickety and would probably collapse. The seat pads on the chairs were stained and dirty. The utensils draw full of crumbs, had to wash everything and there was a smell like damp especially in the living room when we arrived. The wardrobe or lack of again ridiculously small. Just a bit of a let down really and gained several bruises knocking legs around the metal bed in the tiny bedroom.
Dust in front room around the log burner.
I cannot believe the place was cleaned before we arrived???? Dead flies on window sill front room.
We have stayed in much cleaner and more spacious properties. We don't like giving bad reviews but this is so deserving and not worth the price we paid.
Only good point is the location which was so beautiful.
The basic cleanliness of the property was atrocious especially when an extra hour had been allowed due to covid..
Loved this cottage! Everything you need is in there. We loved the little courtyard garden with stream running just behind it. Tilly is so well placed for everything; the car park, the lovely harbour, pub, cafe, shop, fish and chip shop and a great gift shop are all within a couple of minutes walk away. Moelfre is a lovely little town with great coastal walks and interesting history, and is a convenient base for travelling round the island too. Hope to go back there very soon. ♥️

This is a lovely little property.. think it used to be a butchers shop. there are no windows in the bedroom, think this used to be the cold-room.
the log burner heats up the area nicely and they supply a certain amount of kindling and logs. the owners put up a Christmas tree and decorated.
opposite is a little shop which we found handy for things we had forgotten. it is just a few minutes walk to the sea and then onto the footpath to the lifeboat station. this is our second year of staying. there is a free car park just around the corner from the property.

Beautiful location and a really welcoming cottage.. Single floor living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom so basic set up, but excellently presented. Moelfre itself is a great and scenic little village and a great base for exploring Anglesey. Really enjoyed this trip and would love to come back.
Enjoyable comfortable stay.. Owners helpful
Quaint little cottage, with shop and chipshop very close by.. I thought the log fire was struggling to heat the room up, but apart from that it was very enjoyable...
We both thought the accommodation was just right for the money and gave us everything we needed with superb local amenities.. The cottage was very comfortable and clean. Bed comfy and sofa was excellent! A lovely pub in the bay, a handy shop selling everything you might need and easy access to lovely beaches and beautiful scenery. Definitely going back some day .
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves again.. It's not the first time I have booked through MySykes and it won't be the last. The cottage was just right for my husband, dog and myself and the coastal walks were stunningly beautiful. The walks were literally just 5 minutes down the road, there was a little shop opposite us with lovely people there and Ann's Pantry about three minutes down the road did the most amazing gluten free cakes and oat milk for my tea. They try to cater for everyone. Lovely place and lovely friendly people.
Need car to explore this part of anglesey, very enjoyable stay
The cottage is situated on the corner of a very busy junction so is very noisy with traffic and buses on the go all day long.. There is a convenience shop opposite, a fish and chip shop a couple of doors away and a cafe next door so there are always cars stopping and starting, it quietens down about 10pm. The small cafe next door can be heard through the bedroom wall so no hope of a lazy lay in. The bed is very comfortable but the bedroom is quite stuffy as there is no window to get fresh air. The people above the bedroom can be heard; the day before I left they were making quite a lot of noise from 12 to 1am. The cottage is well equipped and cosy. The harbour is approx. 5min walk away and you can walk around the coastal path from there which is very beautiful. The TV was a puzzle for me to work out as the instructions are not very clear but once I got it working it was OK apart from the interference when traffic went by which was nonstop!! The owner Pat is very helpful and was on the end of the phone to answer any questions.

Great cottages easy to book and a very helpful and easy to contact
When we arrived the the cottage smelled of dogs.. As if it had not been aired. The wardrobe smelled of dogs it was obviously the hoover. Towels were not great. The bath room was dusty. The washing up bowl was dirty. We stayed at the cottage last year and it was ok. Just disappointed this time.
Tilly Ba Lou is a bit of a "tardis" having more space inside than the picture might suggest.. Space in the bedroom is limited so beware of unprotected toes on those 3 am visits to the loo.The bed is very comfy as are the reclining chairs in the lounge. The only real disappointment was the t.v. reception is very " iffy", it's annoying when the picture suddenly freezes, I believe that the lead is taken from next doors ariel. The cafe next door which can be seen on the photo only opens at weekends. There is an excellent fish and chip shop a minutes walk away and Anne's Pantry is a great little restaurant just two minutes walk.
Wasn't clean enough
Within a couple of minutes gentle stroll was a pub, chip shop, cafe , general store and of course beautiful walks along the headland.. The cottage was as expected. It was warm and cosy and ideally situated. The facilities were good but a hairdryer would have been a welcome extra.
The bathroom was adequate but needs a face lift.. Everything else was comfortable and we enjoyed the wood burner.
To many post it warnings.. not enough info . Bathroom door glass long crack. bathroom sink very slow to drain. So we didn't use shower in case that wouldn't drain.
Enjoyable location for walks, great pub 2 minutes walk, good beers, food and friendly staff and pet friendly
Just returned from a 3 day stay at Tilly Ba Lou, very nice little cottage, everything we needed for a little break away with the dog. Lovely wood burner in the living room. Very kind thought by owner to provide milk and bara brith cake on arrival! Just what we needed after a long journey. Very quite and peaceful, nice little stream behind the cottage. Chip shop next door very good! Lovely area with picturesque views. Would come back. Thank you
Cottage is very well located, was very clean and furnished nicely.. Bottle of milk & fruit cake were very welcome on arrival
The cottage is small but nice, the only downside is the noise neighbour above the bedroom that plays music from 6:45 till 8 Monday to Friday, my husband went round to ask the lady to turn it down and she reply with I work and slammed the door in his face. we try to contact the owner to no answer and sent a text to no reply, i guest once she has your money she doesn't care. The owner as a sign up in the bedroom about keep the noise down because there a bedroom above your bedroom, it a pity that we kept noise down to the person not to return the same manners. if you are planning to stay in the village, fr a nice quiet, relaxing time i would recommend somewhere else then this cottage
My wife and I wanted a short break in North Wales with our little dog, and booked Tilly Ba Lou. The cottage is tiny - a living room with a shop sized window overlooking the road, a kitchen, small bathroom and bedroom with no windows.
Although the cottage was tiny, it was extremely well equipped - open a drawer or cupboard and everything or anything that you were looking for was there.
The village is lovely. A pub - the Kinmel Arms - does decent food and beer, and overlooks the small natural harbour. Our dog enjoyed some lovely walks along the cliffs to the next bay, and we were able to drive a few miles to explore some of Snowdonia and Anglesey.
Negatives - the patio is tiny and not really suitable for sitting outdoors, but there are lovely places in the harbour and along the clifftop footpaths where we could sit.

The matter is made worse because the owner has a sign up in the bedroom about keep the noise down because there a bedroom above the bedroom. Lovely cosy well equipped cottage in a beautiful location.. Would love to return and would highly recommend, for the price we paid this was excellent value for money.
Excellent value for money.
The cottage met all our needs and was so central. We loved the coastal walks and we were impressed by the new lifeboat station. Our dog Iona loved the freedom. Fabulous place.
Liked the proximity of the cottage to the local amenities and the beach, walking paths and the pub. The cottage is well kept and very cosy, we are considering visiting again next year.
It was a lovely cottage with everything you needed. It was close to the beach and pub and in a beautiful location. Particularly liked the log burner.
