We were met by the owners Bridie and Michael, who made us feel very welcome.. The roaring coal fire made the house beautifully cosy. Bridie had also made us an apple pie as a welcome, which from the guest book seems to be a regularr thing. The house is spacious but still cosy, very well equipped and immaculately presented. Add all this to the lovely garden and fantastic view of the mountain, and I think you would struggle to find a better holiday cottage in this part of Ireland

The only fault we could find with anything was the directions for finding the cottage which were misleading.. There are two crossroads to cross and then over 3 miles to the cottage.

August 2016
This was a comfortable holiday home in a delightful, quite remote location.. We welcomed the generous supplies of fuel and the 'extras' such as fresh vegetables from the garden and the delicious apple pie baked by the owner! Our only comment regarding general comfort of the cottage was the sofa which was hugely uncomfortable and also the beds/mattresses need to be re-newed, as these were definitely past their best. Otherwise, a clean cottage, well presented in a quiet location.
