The house sleeps 15 people in seven bedrooms: a family room with en suite on the top floor, two en suite doubles, a twin and a single on the first floor with bathroom, a twin on the lower ground floor with a shower room. On the entrance level is a hall and on the lower ground level is a kitchen with dining area and doors to a deck and a sitting room with open fire. Outside is over an acre of steep garden with pond, seating area and steps down to a footpath to the beach. The Wood is a fabulous house for a very special break in Devon.

Area
Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck's where you can wander through the subtropical gardens.

Region
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
