With its traditional beamed ceilings and open brickwork walls, this Tuscan retreat is a rustic bolthole with much to offer. Everything is uneven – in fact, there’s not even a speck of symmetry in this place, but you know what? That’s all part of its charm. It’s as though the place has barely been touched since it was first built – it’s packed with olde worlde appeal and every nook and cranny has a traditional Italian feel to it.
We love the lived–in appeal of this place. Wooden furnishings warm things up a treat and the terracotta tiles tie in perfectly with the Mediterranean aesthetic. The shabby–chic patio area is furnished with a shaded dining table, serving the ideal spot for some al fresco dining, and the charming kitchen/dining room is just waiting for the next budding chef to whip up a creamy carbonara.
If stunning scenery is your thing, this place leaves little to want for. Sat on half a hectare of land and located in a picturesque Italian village, you’ll never be short of things to admire.
