This is an extremely comfortable house and so lovely and quiet.. Far from the madding Crowd comes to mind! although not true of the "Far" as Berwick upon Tweed is really so close and full of lovely independent artisan shops -a great wee town. A good stepping off point for touring. The owner Jane was very helpful in directing us to the house after the Sat Nav led us on a wild goose chase - don't follow Sat Nav but, be guided by the directions attached to the details of the house on the Sykes website. Jane had so kindly left us a number of goodies to consume which was very much appreciated.

The cottage has Wi-Fi but it did not work for the whole two weeks.. The wood burner stated in cottage description is incorrect it is not a wood burner but a electric fire with artificial logs. Apart from that we had a great holiday and the cottage was spotless and well equipped and the views across the fields beautiful.

The accommodation was delightful.. An amazing conversion of a house originally intended for turkeys! Fully equipped and the perfect place to stay for two people. Very light and airy and with views of the farming area around. Very quiet and peaceful but not far from the A1 to travel in any direction.

It was perfect for a long weekend.. The weather let us down a little, however we had a fab time and our dog loved the open fields. A very adequate starter pack was waiting for us on arrival, which was a lovley touch and the cottage was always very warm and welcoming. We were disappointed we did not get to meet the owners as they were on their holidays, however we may meet in the future as we very much would like to return. We will certainly recommend to our family and friends.
