Area
Dunblane is a small cathedral town situated six miles north of Stirling. Its main landmark is Dunblane Cathedral and the Allan Water runs through the town centre, with the Cathedral and the High Street on the east side. The nearby town of Bridge of Allan is a former spa town at the foot of the Ochil Hills near Stirling. Today, the main street bears Alexander Henderson’s name and the town is prosperous and home to Stirling University, a golf club and many shops and restaurants. So much of central Scotland is within easy reach of Dunblane, and it has good road and rail links to Glasgow, Edinburgh and St Andrews. The area is a haven for walkers, cyclists, anglers and nature lovers, and golfers are well served with Gleneagles about 20 minutes' drive away, along with Carnoustie and St Andrews, about an hour’s drive away. The Ochil Hills are on the doorstep, and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park a short drive to the north. Dunblane offers an excellent central touring location, while closer to home is the historic, of Bridge of Allan.

Kilbryde is a lovely, scenic and peaceful place and we enjoyed everyday we stayed there.. We booked the Studio for a month while we waited for the flat that we rented in Stirling to be ready, but immediately realised that we should have looked for a place close to Kilbryde. The Studio is very comfortable and has everything we needed, even for a long stay, and the wood burner just adds up in cosiness. The surrounding areas are great for relaxed walks, with the river, the wildlife (red and grey squirrels, rabbits and deer) and the castle gardens all just a few steps outside.

Very cozy accommodation far from all roads and all noise.. Right next to a small castle. The small kitchen is very well equipped and nothing is missing. Ideal starting point to explore the Trossachs National Park.

Studio was a lovely place to stay in a tranquil setting.. Very close to Stirling, Dunblane and Doune and excellent for travelling through to other places. Hosts were fine, only met once to get a high chair for our child and they were very accommodating - cottage was even ready before 3pm on the day of arrival. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this part of Scotland!

Have raised this matter with Sykes under Ref: COR-62334-CD but have not as yet had any update from you.. Part of the outer cottage buildings were in disgusting condition, I have taken photographs. An entire day of our holiday was lost due to lack of information from the owners, a local running event meant no vehicular access in or out of the area. We subsequently had to re-arrange much of our holiday plans during the week. The advertised WiFi did not operate once during our stay. A problem with ants in the cottage was addressed by the owners but never resolved during our stay. Very, very disappointing holiday.

Beautiful location, set amidst the scenic grounds of Kilbryde castle, with Red Kites circling overhead, and the trickling of water from the river Ardoch in the gorge below.. The towns of Doune and Dunblane are a short drive away, or a pleasant hours walk, depending on your urgency. Very warm interactions with both Mrs.Campbell and a neighbouring family we met on the grounds. The cottage is fully stocked with everything you could need - including jigsaws - and offers a slice of wholesome tranquility thats very hard to leave! Would highly recommend.
