Very well furnished and equipped. Each of the three bedrooms ensuite, which really helped the morning routine for 5 adults. Good size rooms throughout. Lovely garden with a few chickens wandering around. Nice rural location but only a short distance to Longframlington with village shop. Good central base for the places we wanted to visit - these included Lindisfarne to the north and Beamish to the south.

The Red Barn was the best holiday property we had ever stayed in. It was warm and comfortably furnished, and a pleasure to return to each evening. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. The owners were very helpful and not at all intrusive. We had wonderful views over the pretty garden and farmland. The location is excellent as we were easily able to visit the coast as well as Hadrian's Wall and the National Park.

The Red Barn is a truly fantastic holiday rental for exploring Northumberland. It is modern, exceptionally clean and has absolutely everything you need when on holiday and more. The owners had thought of so many details when preparing it for rental down to a pint of milk, wine, flowers and cake on our arrival that it was like arriving at a friend or family members home. The accommodation is finished to an incredibly high standard with an en suite to every bedroom, full laundry facilities, wood burner and central heating. The furnishings are luxurious and it was difficult to actually go out and enjoy the area as The Red Barn itself was so lovely we just did not want to go. When we did arrive from a day on the sometimes chilly north east coast we could all relax in our own bath followed by either a family board game (there were several to choose from) or watch a movie (again several good family movies for us to select one from) all whilst in front of a super wood burner. It was an excellent, centrally placed base for visiting all of the popular tourist attractions such as Alnwick and Bamburgh castles, Craster, Newcastle and of course the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne. We loved it so much that we have already booked to return again next year.

we have just returned from a 2 week stay here and it is an amazing barn conversion. everything has been thought of and it is extremely clean. there are lots of nice things added to make your stay perfect. all the rooms are huge particularly the master bedroom and en-suite. the barn is about 20mins from village and the same by car to the coast. the barn is set in beautiful gardens with chickens and horses which will delight any young children. all in all it would be difficult to find any fault with this place and the owners are very helpful should you need them. we will be returning.

We loved having 3 bathrooms which were very luxurious and the dressing gowns were a nice surprise, next door even the children had one each! The extra little touches like a bottle of wine, milk and cakes were well received. Very well placed for visiting Northumbria and the coast and only 1 mile from the village where there are 2 pubs. The Red Barn is the most luxurious and confortable Cottage we have stayed in. Every need is met in this sensational cottage, The decor and furnishings are to the highest standards. June 2011
Just come back from a week staying at The Red Barn in Longframlington. And yes it;s amazing. The fourth year we have been away as a family and this was by far the best cottage we have rented. On arrival we were welcomed with some delicious lemon cake, and a pint of milk for a welcome cuppa. All three rooms were of a very high standard with equally high standard en-suite bathrooms, very clean, very well equipped and yes rally like a home from home. It was the little touchs that made the Red Barn so nice, a fridge with an ice maker, may sound a small thing but at the end of the day when you want ice for your G&T; it was there at a press of the button. Shoe cleaning kit in each room etc etc. Never been to Northumberland but after this week will make sure will be back very soon.

There are so many interesting places to visit in the surrounding area. We were lucky with the weather and we had a royal wedding to boot. The Red Barn is in a lovely setting and the owners were very friendly. It is very hard to find a property with three ensuite bathrooms which is a must for us, so to find this treasure of a property made our holiday more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property.

The location was quite and rural. The owners where very friendly and happy to share their garden with us. The scones on arrival where huge and delicious. Accommodation was high spec, very comfortable. The walk to the village took about 20 minutes, fine for us but a little far for our elderly relatives. Paper Shop, only open mornings, deli, butchers and pubs. The only bad thing about the holiday was the british weather
