What a lovely place!! we stayed over New Year as a last minute get away and it did not disappoint . Very well equipped with a high standard of accommodation a beautiful en suite with his & her sinks and roomy shower, the kitchenette was ideally stocked with everything needed. Great that we could take our dog which was a must for us. There is also a private patio area to use at the back. Deb was lovely very helpful and accommodating. Perfectly situated for the Malvern hills and plenty of walks from site. We will definately be returning !! Thank you for a very comfy, cosy and pleasant stay Lexy loved it

We've had a lovely 6 night stay here with excellent 5* facilities at a great location with beautiful walks and views of the Malvern Hills. Deb & Mark (the owners) were marvellous and have created a fabulous Gem which we'll return to. Dog friendly and very comfortable, we loved it.

Whilst the accommodation was clean and well located for local touring there were a few drawbacks.. Being a converted garage the accommodation was very small with bed, living space and kitchen area all together, therefore quite claustrophobic. Very close (around 5 metres) to a busy road and pretty noisy at all times, exacerbated by building work both opposite and adjacent with house building going on. Whilst it had an enclosed garden, we had to put our dog on a lead (due to closeness of the busy road) to get round to it, so not ideal. All in all, not the best Sykes cottage experience we have had and do not believe it merits a 5 tick rating.

Fantastic little cottage was perfect for our walking weekend.. The owner (Deb) couldn't have been more helpful and she was always offering to help or answer a question. The cottage it is beautifully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable, with a fantastic bathroom and modern stylish decor. I would definitely recommend this for a couple who want a comfortable bolt-hole for the weekend. The Inn at Welland is a must visit for a special meal, only a mile up the road (but bring a torch if you are walking as the roads are unlit!). We had a fantastic meal there but make sure you book in advance.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Pheasant's Nest for Valentines and we so enjoyed it! The cottage is beautiful, well eqipped and very comfy. A big thank you to Deb for the little touches which really made it for us: the personalised heart left on the bed, the lovely bottle of red wine, the treats and bones left for our little beagle Harry. We really appreciated it all! The cottage is very clean and well looked after. The area is beautiful with many lovely places to walk, great for dogs, and also a number of nice country pubs within a couple of miles' walk. Would highly recommend a stay here, we loved it! Thank you again xx

We had a lovely time at the Pheasant's Nest it is in an ideal location for exploring the Worcester and Gloucestershire countryside.. Upton Upon Severn is well worth an afternoon visit for a walk along the river. The village of Wellend has a small park that is again ideal for taking the dog for an early morning walk and a visit to the Robin Hood pub is worth a visit as they serve excellent food. My only issue I did have with the property is I wish it had a fence to the front of the property as my dog has no road sense and although the road is not particularly busy the vehicles do speed along there so we were unable to leave the front door open and had to put his lead on everytime we wanted to go into the back garden. The cottage has everything you need a good set out kitchen area with all the utensils and the bathroom is lovely very spacious and the bed is comfortable, maybe a more comfortable sofa would be good if you were spending any amount of time in the cottage on wet days but for us of an evening it was fine.

It looks like a log cabin on the outside but on the inside it is spacious.. . It has a lovely bathroom with his and hers basins. We found the bed to be comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed apart from washing machine. But Debbie the owner says you can use theirs if needed. It has a nice private slabbed back garden with pot plants table and chairs. I would definitely recommend.

This is a very pretty little holiday home it had every thing you needed.. The owners were so helpful always there if you needed them. It would of been better if there was a back door rather than having to go out the front door and round the side this would make it a 10 out of 10.

Myself and my partner stayed at The Pheasant's Nest in Feb 2016. It was lovely. A great location for walking our dog, Unna, with the hills and countryside on your doorstep. Gullet Quarry was a fifteen minute walk away and absolutely stunning. The property itself is small but cosy and we had absolutely everything we needed. It has been built and decorated to an extremely high standard. We had no problems with anything. Heating was great and the shower was AMAZING. The property has a full kitchen, the WiFi worked well (we managed to watch three seasons of Luther on Netflix!) and the bed was comfortable. The Pheasant's Nest was also extremely clean!!! There is a fully enclosed garden which was great for the dog, and Deb (the owner) even offered to let us use her garden while she was away, so the dog could explore (which Unna loved). Unna is a large dog (Akita) but she had plenty of room both in and outside the property. We always worry about letting her into a garden when we go away as she is a skilled escape artist! But this garden was fully enclosed and no way she could get out. The gates were also high enough for her not to jump over (which she has done in the past!). Please don't be put off by the building work opposite, we heard absolutely no noise at all and were here for a week. Phone signal wasn't great with EE, but fine with Vodafone. The owner, Deb, is lovely and will be happy to help with anything you need. Despite going away on holiday herself, she made sure there was someone around if we needed anything, and even texted me to ask if we were ok. I would definitely recommend this property if you want a nice, relaxing holiday in a beautiful location and really perfect accommodation.
