Wow, this beautiful home certainly didn’t disappoint. From the lovely welcome we got from Helen, we felt that we had arrived somewhere special. Spotlessly clean, gorgeous bed linen, and a cute little welcome pack with a bottle of Prosecco on ice!! Perfick! We all slept very well, always plenty of hot water, so we could shower after our visits in the hot tub. It was a bit chilly on our last night there, and I was so glad because We lit the log burners, watched movies and used the hot tub. This is only 10-15 minutes from the coast, very near to Beverley, so a good location. Thank you Helen and Lee (Sometimes the wifi dropped out, but you are in the country so not unexpected. We switched to 4g and it wasn’t an issue)

Helen probably the friendliest and most laid back host we have encountered. Spotlessly clean cottage , fantastic welcome pack, easy to use hot tub, which was covered. Very comfortable super king size bed. Great bbq to use. Large rooms finished to a very high spec. We booked for Dec 2020, which then rolled over to March 21, and then June 21 due to lockdown, so glad we got there. Pub New Inns lovely food and in walking distance, local supermarket walking distance. We had a great time. Will visit again.

Rented the Old Wagon shed for a week. Owners were great. Left us alone and offered help/advice when needed. We've stopped in loads of rentals, but none had a welcome pack like this one. Also a bottle of prosecco on ice waiting for us. Bedrooms great and very comfy beds. Kitchen had everything you needed and a great circular dining table. A great social hub. Big lounge with full Sky package. Lovely sunroom leading to a enclosed private yard with hot tub. Used hot tub every day. Even managed to get my 86 year old mother in 5 days out of 7. Great location for east coast. Also nip through back gate and local pub straight across the road. We also had use of their huge well kept garden with the best BBQ/Fire pit I've ever used. Definitely recommend

We arrived at The Old Wagon Shed on my birthday, and within seconds we knew we were going to have a 5 Star Plus holiday experience, the accommodation is amazing with attention to every last detail and the hot tub is fabulous. It’s so nice to stay somewhere where our little doggy is totally safe and welcome. The ‘Welcome Pack’ is above and way beyond expectation and the chilled Prosecco was greatly appreciated and enjoyed whilst relaxing in the hot tub. A massive thank you to Helen and her lovely Mum who could not have done anymore to make our stay as wonderful as it was, we didn’t want to go home! The Old Wagon Shed is conveniently situated in the beautiful village of Leven, The New Inn is in easy walking distance and is very welcoming and serves amazing food! There is also a Costcutter supermarket and takeaway just across the road, and a deli/butchers, beauticians, barbers and Church in the village, so everything you could possibly need! The Old Wagon Shed is a fabulous place to stay we will definitely be booking again!

An exceptional cottage with very welcoming hosts.. The property is tastefully decorated and has great facilities, including very comfy beds. The hot tub, fizz on ice, fresh eggs and welcome pack were a bonus and made our stay feel extra special. The cottage is also ideally placed for visits to Beverley, York, Hull and the coast. If you have dogs and/or small children please note that the garden advertised is not attached to the property or enclosed - but does come in handy for exercising dogs on the lead

Beautifully renovated, with lots of really thought out finer detail.. Amazing to be met with the fire lit, hot tub ready to go and Prosecco on ice when we arrived!!! Owners are really lovely and helpful, they live in the same court yard and nothing is too much for them. They even supplied fresh scones and breakfast stuff! Would definitely recommend

We’ve just got back from a three night stay with two other couples.. The cottage is amazing I could have easily stayed longer or even moved in! The welcome pack was a lovely touch as were the fresh flowers and the the log burner being all ready to light as soon as we wanted too. The kitchen/dining area were stunning & very well equipped. The beds were very comfy with gorgeous clean, soft bedding and towels. The living area was fab as was the garden room & hot tub! Helen & Lee were lovely & nothing was too much trouble. The local pub is dog friendly and when I say local it’s literally across the road. I give this place 10/10 and we will definitely be returning for another visit, thanks again to Helen & Lee, from Sarah, Andy, Bev, Steve, Jonathan, Alison & Freddie

Absolutely beautiful bespoke cottage surpassed our expectations. Helen made us feel very welcome with all the extra touches: welcome food package, Prosecco, log fire lit & the hot tub ready to go. Great location, quiet & private (especially the hot tub) 2 pubs in the village, easily in walking distance, we had a lovely Sunday roast in the Tiger Inn in Beverley & visited Hornsea garden centre. We all had a great time & would definitely recommend a visit.

Had a week in this beautiful cottage....dog friendly and a hot tub. Decorated well, all mod cons and comfy beds. The owners Helen and Lee were great, they greeted us on arrival and had the log burner lit, hot tub bubbling and prosecco on ice...what more could you ask for

We have just returned from a weeks stay at The Old Wagon Shed Leven, whist we adored the cottage and decor and the high standard of accommodation it was felt that there was an issue with privacy.. When booking, the photos depict a cottage on its own and a large garden area with a BBQ, it fails to mention that you share a courtyard with the owners and their neighbours and are never truly alone. My suggestion would be to take more photographs of the shared courtyard so people know what to expect upon arrival. The cleanliness was amazing and the owners make every effort to make sure the cottage is to the highest standard - the welcome pack was brilliant with the homemade scones the best we’ve ever tasted! Due to the cottage being empty the days before we were due to arrive Helen allowed us to check in early, however usually it is is 10am check out and 3pm check in, I understand this is standard however this information is not freely available until full payment has been made, I suggest that Sykes make this available when browsing before booking so people can make an informed choice. Mostly the facilities were good but we felt our time there would’ve been easier if there was a dryer in the cottage, there isn’t a washing line But there is a small clothes horse, however when you are travelling with a family of 6 and making good use of the amazing hot tub it is difficult to dry things you may need. The immediate area of Leven is lacking in things to do apart from a couple of pubs, however there is lots to do in surrounding areas such as The Deep at Hull and the seaside places of Bridlington and Hornsea. Overall, our experience was ok but I don’t think we will be returning.

This is by far the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in.. Helen and Lee were very friendly when they met us on arrival. An extensive welcome basket awaited us, including a bottle of prosecco on ice - a nice bonus after a long drive. The accommodation is a very high standard throughout and everything has been though of. Nothing has been done cheaply and everything has been tastefully designed. We are so pleased we booked it for two weeks instead of one as we really settled in. It is the only holiday property where we have said "we would happily live here". The beds were amazingly comfortable. The hot tub was a little bit of luxury at the end of a days' exploring. The property is well situated for many attractions and beaches. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We booked this venue for its hot tub, as our annual get together. We couldn't have asked for a nicer venue. The hosts were amazing. Because the weather was so nice they went out and bought extra garden chairs so we could all sit outside together. The welcome basket was great - the scones that were included were delicious. The cottage is well placed in the village with the local shop and two pubs less than 2 mins away. The layout is great with plenty of room for everyone. The beds were super comfy. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone, even considering a revisit with my family

The old Wagon Shed was one of the best we’ve stayed in in the 14years,we have been going to different cottages for a break with family, when we arrived we met by the owner Helen who shown us around the cottage informing us of all we needed to know,in the lounge there was a beautiful roaring logfire and a fabulous welcome pack plus a bottle of Prosecco in the ice bucket chilling,Helen & Lee were wonderful hosts they were very helpful if we needed anything, but left us to enjoy our holiday

We spent a great week in the Old Wagon Shed with family , friends, and our young Labrador.. The cottage is spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It is located in a pleasant village with good facilites. The hot tub was a hit with all the humans and certainly helped get us in the holiday mood !.However the courtyard it is in, is the only private outside space that the cottage has, and would hardly have been big enough for 6 people to sit ouside, had the weather permitted. There is a communal garden area, a short walk away ,with a bbq and table but this was open to the road and not ideal for us or the dog . We all really enjoyed our holiday ,lots of thngs to do and see in the surrounding area, a lovely cottage, but were disappointed by the lack of a private enclosed garden.

Fantastic large spacious cottage, excellent location.. Lovely friendly welcome on arrival, hot tub on and prosecco on ice waiting for us. Everything is Excellent quality from carpets, curtains, bedding to the toilet paper. Nice breakfast box with all you need to start your holiday. Comfortable lounge, large TV or games and books for your use. Lovely light rooms complemented by the lighting and velux windows. Superb large dining table beautiful for family dining. Great outdoor area for dog walking and choice of 2 local pubs almost on the doorstep. Great food at the New in. Wish we visited the butcher sooner, only a few doors down the street, everything to offer from fresh meat, fresh bread, pies, quiche and even cakes. Local shop short walk useful too. Thank you Helen and Lee for letting us stay in your quality, beautiful cottage with wonderful hot tub. Most of all thank you for your support “to call on you if we needed to” like when we ran out of logs. We have stayed in quite a few cottages over the years, but your has topped the lot..... just FABULOUS. Thank you.

Came here for 2 nights with friends and it honestly exceeded all expectations.. There was no need to leave the premises because absolutely everything had been thought of and was there for us. Helen and Lee were so welcoming and you can tell that they take great pride in the property. It was just so comfortable and homely, and the details were absolutely outstanding. We are 100% returning, honestly one of the nicest places any of us have ever stayed at.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage.. Amazing facilities. Great location. Very friendly owners who were very helpful. Total home from home! With dog walks from your door and a pub across the road, the seaside a 15min drive and Beverley close by it was the perfect location for exploring the area and relaxing with our family. 5 adults and 2 dogs stayed at the property and we had so much space to not get in each other's way! We have already looked at our diaries to see when we can go back!! Would definitely recommend!

This cottage is so high spec, every aspect of it was amazing.. The hot tub was really hot and extremely clean and the outside area was very private. The décor was amazing, carpets were lovely, very comfortable bed, hot, powerful shower and nice big bath, water was very hot too. Helen has put so much love and attention into renovating this cottage and it shows. So much better quality than most of the holiday lets we have stayed in. The welcome from Helen was great, she is friendly and welcoming, the welcome pack was really nice too - Prosseco and scones. Brilliant. I wish Helen all the best, she deserves it. Thank you for such a lovely couple of days, we will be back.

Outstanding! ! We stayed at "The Old Wagon Shed " for four nights 24th to 29th July, and we were blown away by this property. Each room done to a very high standard, very clean and comfortable, really had that " home" feeling. We all fell in love with the kitchen and dining area, and the welcome pack with a bottle of prosecco was a lovely gesture. Helen and Lee were both very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hot tub was amazing and the BBQ ( with plenty of logs provided) area with seating would be lovely in good weather. The cottage is a really good size, we were a party of six ( two families ), and found it very spacious, plenty of seating for both the adults and children. We think this property deserves a 5* rating, we would highly recommend it and would definitely return in the future.
