We all loved staying at The Old School House, due to the lovely, arty and comfortable decor.. The house was in a perfect location and we enjoyed being able to sit outside to enjoy the glorious sunshine. The beds were confortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We loved that there were things for chilldren eg a bucket and spade etc. We played Trvial Pursuit which I haven't played in years. So nice to have games to play as we couldn't fit ours in the car! The house was a joy to share and we all relaxed. Pwllheli was surprisingly quiet, even the beach - loads of space to walk on your own! The town centre has an Asda, Lidl and a very well stocked Spar, plus bakers, butchers etc. I felt very safe here and I am glad that I bought my parents, who had been shielding. This was a perfect break.

Lovely property with many original features and well maintained.. It was in a great location, right on the doorstep of the town but in a peaceful spot and easy location to visit all the local areas. The property is more spacious than it appeared on the images and was ample size for 6 of us. Really lovely property and would certainly recommend. .

Pleased to see new fridge-freezer.. kettle, frying pan, and kitchen utensils. The beds were very comfortable, but the sofas in the lounges less so. We found the solitary bathroom to be rather restrictive for 4 adults.

We stayed in this lovely house , very close to all amenities, shops, pubs and resturants. The only down side was the poor sound proofing from the apartment upstairs. A family were upstairs and little feet were heard running up and down, with doors banging. Often in the early morning. Thank you for treats left

Fautless! On first entering the old schoolhouse we were immediately impressed by the standard of décor and the facilities available.. Everything needed had been provided, the owner has obviously put a lot of thought into what is needed for a stay in this property. I would definitely recommend the old schoolhouse to anybody for a stay in Phwelli.

The first thing we noticed was paint flaking on the walls.. There was a foisty smell especially in downstairs bedroom. Mould in all the bedrooms. It was an insult for the amount paid.

I was a pupil at this former school in the early 40s, so it was great to come back and stay in the well-planned conversion.. We were especially impressed by the first floor sitting room which was warm and cosy in the evenings. (The walls of the old stone building must be in the region of 3 feet thick so the downstairs kitchen/diner and lounge were nice and cool during the heat of the day, but were on the chilly side in the evenings.) We all liked the elevated location of the building enabling us to look over the town, and even see the harbour from the top-floor bedroom. The location was within easy reach of the supermarket, and the local shops, also the rail and bus stations, so we were able to have trips out of Pwllheli without using the car all the time.

As the ground floor bedrooms are built under next door you have no control over any noise from the neighbours.. On our last night the neighbours were very loud untill one in the morning.

The location of the school house was good and very welcoming a home from home..
