We stopped here for a week. It was absolutely beautiful. We're used to stopping in 5 star plus accommodations all around the world so we have very high expectations. The Old Dairy surpasses our expectations. The hosts Louise & Pete we're brilliant, always on hand if we needed anything. The cottage was immaculate, with everything we needed.(it's the little touches like fresh flowers, some milk in the fridge etc when we arrived). The cottage is in a nice, quiet, location only a few minutes drive to the sea. We will certainly be staying here again when we are here in the area.

Sorry but I'm a one for lengthy reviews, so here goes.. I've made sections so hopefully it's easier to read. 1) Getting there. The directions we're good and obtaining the key was safe and easy (followed the instructions & phoned the owner on key info). 2) Set up. The owners had a house next door and there are two semi detached cottages, a 2 bed & a 1 bed on site. Both had access to a private garden & summer house containing a bonus of chairs, tables & even a BBQ. Location was good, only about 5 miles from the sea & Hornsea ( if you are energetic you could walk it as there were footpaths, to keep you off the road). The area surrounding the cottage was quiet with almost no traffic noise. 3) Arrival. The owner (Louise) was present when we arrived. We received a very nice, Yorkshire, welcome. 4) Cottage itself We stayed in the 2 bed. Fresh flowers, milk in the fridge & a tray of tea & coffee was another lovely touch & true to the description in the brochure. The cottage was immaculate & everything worked as it should including a good WiFi signal. 5) To sum up. Good location, friendly owners (many thanks Louise and Pete) Immaculate cottage with added little touches that made it feel special. We will definitely be back when we are next in the area.

A great location, fantastic barn conversion which has a wet room on the ground floor and a shower cubicle upstairs, so many places you have to shower over a bath and that's just not safe for older people, this cottage is well designed, clean and in a lovely location.. The cottage owners are super friendly and I would recommend this holiday let and would come again myself. Safe enclosed garden for the dogs but it is shared so bare that in mind if the other let people are wary of dogs, I checked no one was in it before I took my dogs in for a runabout.

The Old Dairy was extremely comfortable and equipped for all our needs.. The host family were very welcoming and made us feel instantly at home. Leven village was perfectly situated for visits to the beach, walks along the Leven canal and the delightful town of Beverley with its imposing Minster and good range of shops. The open area called Westwood Pasture was brilliant for walking with great views over the city. Monty, the dog, really enjoyed his walks there. We would certainly recommend the cottage to others.

Stayed at The Old Dairy with friends for a week Arrived half an hour early to be told no admittance til 3 so that’s ok That’s the rules Went to the local pub The New Inn where we were asked You don’t want food do you ? So too early for one..too late for the other...we didn’t want food so just had a drink waiting until 3 Perused the menu to go and visit during the week We were told the menu would be changing the following week so didn’t bother too much So The Old Dairy is a nice place and Louise and her daughter are very pleasant Pete never spoke to us so can’t say what he’s like.. I asked about spare toilet rolls but apparently they’re not provided Fair enough but would be nice to know that in advance Last 2 years in Yorkshire they have been so how do I know ? Nice touches were fresh flowers, 6 eggs, tea etc and jug of milk Information books full of places to visit but nothing much actually in Leven If you want a place to base yourself to visit local area then yes good location but otherwise not for us

It is a beautiful cottage, with excellent facilities in lovely peaceful countryside and village.. The owners, Louise and Pete are lovely people and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The only thing we had difficulty with was the television being too high on the wall, we ended up with neck ache after a night's viewing! We would highly recommend this lovely cottage, thank you Louise and Pete.

A wonderful place to stay! Very quiet and peaceful in wonderful countryside. Wry friendly owners too. Everything you need is in there. Very well equipped kitchen, though as we ate out (we were on holiday!) we didn't need to use the dishwasher or oven, only the microwave. Even sat out in the lovely little garden area. Could've done with a sun umbrella for my old mum though! Lovely walk along the canal with the dog and met a number of very friendly locals too but that's Yorkshire folk for you! Would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage.
