Very cosy cabin had everything we needed.. Janet the owner was very friendly and good to chat with. The two ponies & the chickens were a delight. Bottle of wine, biscuits and treats for our dog were a nice added touch. Would recommend she has a visitors book. Good location to explore the sights eg. Avebury very close by. Also good field opposite to walk Polly dog. Would definitely recommend.

Booked this getaway with my boyfriend and we were really pleased with the place.. After reading reviews about others finding it difficult to find the place we were surprised to find it easily with the owner also giving us directions when we called to confirm our arrival time. The place was very clean and cosy and the owner even left us some snacks for us as she offered wine but we do not drink. Overall very nice place with activities and attraction to visit near by too.

We used the cottage after our furniture had been collected for delivery to our new house.. We found the accommodation to fulfil all or requirements and a haven while we got our house ready for the new owners. We met the owners of the cottage who were very friendly. Would certainly return if in the area and have already recommended to others.

Directions a bit woolly when reaching property had to ask one of the locals for help only to be told we where here.. Directions said to look for a large white building the owner said she was surprised at that as the property has never been white to her credit she did contact Sykes straight away maybe a small Sykes sign at the entrance would help

The place was compact.. Good for a night or two. Would have been lovely in the summer but found it chilly but being so small it warmed up quickly.

Excellent place for a very relaxing holiday.. There are plenty of lovely places to discover in the nearby vicinity. It’s a quiet cottage with minimal road traffic, and the presence of farm animals such as ponies, ducts, and chickens make it a very unique experience. The cottage was in a very clean condition and contained all the basic items needed for self-catering. The owners were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable break – and it’s also perfect for a dog as there is a big green field nearby for some nice relaxing walks.

Absolutely loved stopping at the Nook, very relaxing place had everything we needed we received a lovely welcome gift on arrival thanks so much Janet.. The only downfall was the mattress on the bed it was far to soft felt as though it hadn’t been turned regularly or was passed it, could do with a new one. Would definitely love to stop here again it is very quiet considering Janet and her husband have hens, duck and horses Janet and her husband are a lovely friendly couple. We visited loads of places whilst on holiday and the weather for April was gorgeous.

There were two serious trip hazards in the front of the property.. One a step and two a slope, where a fence had been added and the trip hazards not removed. You said that there was a barbecue. It was not provided. Carpet looked tired and needed a clean. No vacuum cleaner or any cleaning materials or equipment to clean the property. Also it should be noted that I could not reach the owners on the numbers you made available. These need updating. Shame because it was an ideal location.

The Nook is a cosy, log cabin as explained in the Sykes description.. It is situated in the the stable yard located in the countryside, but close to civilisation. Although the ponies and geese are close by they caused no noise or problem to us guests. The owners are friendly and very helpful. A satnav or ordinance survey map is essential as the charming country lanes do look like each other!

When we arrived the heating and lights were on for us, and a little Christmas tree! which was lovely as we had travelled a long way it was dark and cold and we just wanted to sit and rest. There was a treat left for our two dogs and a little bottle of wine for my husband and I which was a lovely thought! The Nook was comfortable, clean and warm and had everything that we needed. It was lovely to see the two shetland ponies and the chickens and ducks! Overall a very pleasant stay, would definitely go again.
