The Milk Shed is a smart single storey cottage converted from a barn on a small holding a mile from the Devon village of Plymtree. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, a double and a single, with a shower room. The living area is open plan with a seating area, a dining area and a kitchen. Outside is an enclosed garden with picnic table, barbecue and caravan for children to play in, plus an open sided games barn. Dogs must be kept on leads on the grounds of the property due to livestock. With easy access to the M5, The Milk Shed is a brilliant base for enjoying an interesting Devon holiday.

Plymtree is a delightful village in East Devon with plenty to offer its visitors. Lying in the valley of the River Culm the village is surrounded by rolling Devon hills, green wooded valleys and scattered farming villages. Plymtree is home to a local pub

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

We had a great week staying at the Milk Shed.. The house and garden are lovely - we especially enjoyed feeding the lambs. It’s also ideal for dog owners. Jayne and Andy made us really welcome. Would definitely recommend!

To stay at The Milk Shed is charming.. The fresh coffee, bread, eggs and slices of cake were a lovely addition to the warm welcome we received from the owners on our arrival. The Milk Shed is ideally situated for exploring the East Devon countryside and the coast. If you are looking for a "get away from it all" relaxing holiday then this is the place; we would not hesitate in recommending this delightful holiday cottage.

We had an amazing holiday at the milk shed, the owners are so hospitable.. We were made tea and coffee on arrival and supplied with fresh home made bread, scones and jam and also freshly laid eggs from the chickens. The milk shed is extremely comfortable and has all the items needed for home from home. The outside space for children is brilliant and keeps them entertained. The sheep and the chickens are an added bonus and we were fortunate to be able to look after them. I absolutely totally recommend a holiday at this magnificent place.

Loved the milk shed nice & cosy, but quite remote if like facilities, ok for us though ,our sat nab took us the wrong way ,all round houses on all the single track roads to get there, the local community shop is handy & well stocked, Jayne &hubby helpful & friendly.. Also the sheep said hello every time we came drove in. Would reccomend again. Linda & Brian.

Just returned from the most wonderful stay at The Milk Shed.. Jayne and Andy made us feel so very welcome from the moment we arrived with a hot drink, home made cake and even ice creams for our children. The accommodation was spotless and very well equipped and in our opinion perfectly located to explore many attractions for a super holiday. We loved it and hope to return soon.

Lovely little milk shed which was spotless and very nicely presented with comfy beds and all kitchen requirements, laundry in the main house.. The owners were away and Christine a friend was left in charge. She was delightful and extremely helpful with suggestions of where to eat in the evening etc.Fresh eggs, milk ,bread and scones a lovely bonus. We were however disappointed with the description of dog walks from the property. This consisted of any one of four fairly busy lanes with high hedgerows keeping the dog on a short lead. Or a short walk up to a farmers field which was ready for harvesting. We would also have preferred to have the garden adjacent to the rental accommodation. But am I being too fussy?? Overall we really enjoyed our short break and would recommend a stay here. Anne F
