Everything.. The description and pictures on the web did not match the place. It was full of old furniture to the point of being cluttered, much of the furniture was so old it could not be used properly, lots of it did not work. The place itself needed a great deal of TLC and it was not getting it. It was a storeroom for an "antique" business that was being closed down. Sykes gave it four stars and they had obviously never seen it. They obviously cared more about getting the money from us, we paid over £1600 for the two weeks, than our comfort. There was no drying facilities except for a clothes horse made of plain wood similar to the one my mother had in World War 2. The dishwasher did not work, did not look like it had ever been used and we had an extension lead draped around the kitchen for the fortnight so that we could use it. The one bed had a small double duvet but a kingsize cover on a kingsize bed. We had to ask for linen to be changed. Conservatory was so cluttered it could no be used and the outside so overgrown with vegetation that you were very limited to what you could use and where you could the furniture was old and rusty. The women who ran it seemed to be a nice person with no experience of running guests, who was just getting over a divorce, closing this " antique" business and with also the Manor House to look after all on her own. She obviously also liked the £1600! Could go on and on.
