The house itself was great and the outdoor space was brilliant for kids.. The biggest issue we had was the lack of phone reception or WiFi, whilst this means you can completely disconnect, if you have young kids, need to stay in touch with family at home, or are trying to make plans with friends (Donegal time means these often change) it is extremely difficult. Whilst i appreciate there is nothing to be done about the phone reception, having to walk down to the hotel to get in touch with anyone can be a bit frustrating. This won't be an issue for some but as i say it was a frustration for us, and would be the only thing which stopped us returning.
The cottage wasn’t in a great state of repair.. The main bathroom door didn’t shut and the we couldn’t use the shower in the main bathroom anyway because
there was no shower screen and the shower head leaked resulting in all 6 of us queuing to use the en-suite.
The blind in one of the bedrooms was broken which wasn’t great if you wanted a lie in past 5.30.
The cottage itself was in a fantastic location and the hotel nearby served good food and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s just a shame these issues which were relatively easy and cheap to fix hadn’t been resolved.

There was a terrible smell in the kitchen due to piping I think.. Around the dishwasher and washing machine.
Also very annoying not having any signal or wifi.
Clean, well equipped house.. Cosy with both central heating and open fire - logs and turf provided. Towels are provided but have seen better days and need to be replaced. Bed linen also provided and is good quality. Beds are very comfortable.
We had a brilliant week in Narin at the holiday house the house was spacious well laid out and very comfortable to sleep in, I loved the enclosed back yard for our wee dog too, there is limited phone reception but just dander outside a few steps and you can connect also the staff at the hotel are very friendly and accommodating if you need wifi but we were happy enough to remain disconnected! Narin has a lovely beach mainly used by families and older people there is a local bar beside the beach with nightly entertainment but that's it so if you're expecting a wild night life you might want to head to the bigger towns, again we were happy with the isolation. the Dolmen centre is worth a visit plus the harbour at portnoo for snorkelling, we spent a fair bit of time in Ardara a lovely bustling town nearby. You can purchase bin bags at the shop in portnoo for collection by the council and there is a toaster at the property too. Also the shop in portnoo give a good rate for sterling. All in all an excellent time was had by all and I can't wait to go back to the holiday house! Thank you so much!
Lovely little cottage, in a quiet area.. We were the only ones and at night it was very dark and with no phone signal you feel a bit isolated. The hotel closed during the week; but came alive at the weekend, this probably changes when the holiday season gets underway. The cottage was airy and comfortable with a great heating system, also the back was closed in which made it secure for our little dog. A couple of little features though: a toaster, micro wave and decent telly would help things, though we didn't need a fire, there was no starter pack, which usually is the case and a few toilets rolls would have been handy as well, having said this, the beach is not to far away and it's a beautiful walk with some spectacular scenery. A car is a must to get around.
Just couldn't find the property's Bin..
Every thing was good in this cottage only downside was no mobile phone signal in this area but you could go to the hotel beside the cottages to use the wifi there.. The people who own this hotel are really friendly ,we had problems with the heating and hot water and Mary the manager in the hotel phoned the people who owned the cottage Mary also offered us electric heaters and turf for the fire. Must say that the problem with the heating was sorted the within 24 hours had to defrost fridge as freezer kept freezing up and the keypad at the back of the house were we found the key was broken and key was just sat inside it apart from that had a lovely holiday.
