The High Ground is a first floor studio apartment in the owners' grounds near Castlemorton. The apartment has a king-size double bed with a sitting area, a separate compact kitchen and a shower room. Outside is off road parking for two cars, and there is use of a rear lawned area with furniture. The High Ground is well placed for the amenities of Castlemorton, as well as as a base for the Malvern Hills, Cheltenham, Ledbury and more.

Area
A short distance away from Castlemorton is a fascinating Iron Age hill fort, British Camp, situated 340 metres above sea level. Located on the boundary of Herefordshire and Worcestershire, the stunning scenery and landscapes of this area draw many walkers and cyclists, and there is an abundance of wildlife here to spot. The picturesque 12th century church is a central feature of Castlemorton, and the lovely surrounding countryside ensures that this is a relaxing and tranquil holiday destination. Malvern, Ledbury and Tewkesbury are all just a few miles away, and all these towns offer a good selection of welcoming old pubs, restaurants and shops, as well as the characteristic black and white houses of Herefordshire. There is so much to visit in and around Castlemorton, including country houses and gardens, museums, castles and railways, all of which make for a wonderful holiday for the whole family.

The High Ground was in a great location for access to the Malvern Hills, set in a very peaceful rural spot with a nearby cuckoo announcing spring and chickens running round the grounds.. There was a homemade cake and fresh eggs waiting for us which was a nice touch. The apartment was comfortable and clean and Joy, the owner was very helpful.

A very comfortable and quiet place to stay.. Nice spacious area to relax and an excellent place, at the southern end of the Malverns, to access the glorious walks. As a loft conversion our only wish would have been to have more open views of the wonderful countryside around the property.

Not quite as described.. Lovely place to stay for a few days, area great with plenty of nice places to visit and there are dog friendly pubs within walking distance of accommodation. I wrongly assumed from the description the combination microwave/oven meant there was a small oven but there wasn’t only a microwave/ grill so quite difficult to cook anything (only two ring on hob as stated). The accommodation is also approached via a very bumpy albeit short track which I only found when I received the key collection info and I am very glad having found this out we decided not to go in our sport cars as we’d of likely caused damage to it. For dog owners the private lawned area is not enclosed

Clean, airy, spacious - plus a dish of eggs from the chickens outside and a cake to welcome us.. It was perfect for our needs and as a base for exploring The Malvern and The Cotswold Hills.

Beast from the East and Storm Emma struck part way through my visit.. Joy the owner couldn't have been more helpful in ensuring I was ok. The apartment was cosy warm despite the low temperatures, comfortable, clean, cheerful and well equipped. A very peaceful location which was just what I wanted. The weather didn't spoil my stay. Only problem I had was I couldn't find it on arrival and had to be rescued by Joy. I suggest that from Welland it is easier to continue past the common to the Robin Hood pub then turn right onto New Road (signposted). Continue for approx .75 of a mile, pass the marked road junction on the right,, then turn right at the second track on the right, cross the cattle grid then you are there.
