The Granary was an excellent retreat for a week in the summer.. The accommodation and facilities were excellent. The communication, friendliness and personal touches with the owner exceeded expectations and were an added bonus to creating a relaxing break. Wetwang, I feel, is in a great location for access to the Yorkshire Coast, Wolds, Driffield, Malton, York and Beverley.

Extremely welcoming environment to start and end a day exploring Yorkshire.. Good communication started before we had even arrived at the cottage. The cottage was well equipped, clean and very homely. Felt confident that COVID measures had been followed. We will definitely look to going back again.

This cottage was far nicer than anticipated.. We expected it to be smaller than the pictures show. It is light and airy and very comfortable. The view from the upstairs window is incredible. This cottage is a real gem!

Fantastic fresh airy accommodation and so welcoming.. Ruth the owner certainly went the extra mile in leaving her welcome for our arrival... small touches but so much appreciated like vases of daffodils, milk, cake, and dog biscuits for Moss and a personal Welcome Card. Carpets had only been laid 3 weeks ago so were quite relieved weather was superb while we were there for the week. King Size Bed far more comfortable than our own which made for great sleep. The Granary is situated on a quiet lane well back from the busy main through road - I never heard a thing and such a light sleeper. Wetwang is good starting point for many places to visit in the area - loved Driffield Canal Walk, Pocklington Canal and enjoyed shopping in Beverley.

The Granary is situated in a lovely area and was not too far from the places we visited.. It was very well equipped and cosy in a very quiet area. We would definitely visit again to see places we did not manage to see during our stay. On the whole an excellent venue.

The Granary in Wetwang is a perfect base for exploring the East Riding of Yorkshire and the Wolds.. However, having your own transport is essential as public transport is limited to a once-a-day bus service into Driffield.

The Granary is a lovely holiday accommodation having everything we needed and is situated on a very quiet lane opposite vast fields with amazing views.. Its ideally a great base for visiting York, Beverley, Driffield, Bridlington, Flamborough Head (Beautiful) etc. There are lots of excellent walks from the Cottage circular walks to Sykes Monument, Cottam & Huggate etc across rolling countryside along a variety of terrain e.g. old Railway tracks now chalk paths, old Airfield landing strips and ancient medieval church ruins along chalk paths and valleys with amazing scenery and wildlife. Wetwang and surrounding areas has lots of nice pubs and an amazing chip shop in the village. We will certainly return, there are many more walks yet to explore, a real hidden gem of the Yorkshire Wolds!

May 2018
The accommodation was lovely and cosy with wonderful views of the countryside, including some horses and rabbits in the field nearby to my daughters delight.. The kitchen was well appointed and had all that we needed, The welcome pack was useful and helped us to settle in. The whole cottage was lovely for our stay as it included bike storage in the garage. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Victoria Inn which is a short walk from the accommodation and we went back for a desert another day as their portion sizes are large and the food is very tasty. While we were staying at the cottage, the village had a scarecrow trail and the owner left us a map for us to wander around the village and spot the scarecrow and try to find Snow White's missing dwarves. The villagers were very friendly and loved to have a chat. As it was half term a few families were wandering around the village doing the scarecrow trail as well. We would definitely recommend this cottage to our friends and family.

The granary is a lovely, clean, well kept, quirky cottage with beautiful views and great facilities.. It is set within a lovely village which has great fish and chips and 2 nice pubs and is ideally situated for exploring all the surrounding attractions and beauty spots. This was our first cottage holiday as a young family and if they are all as nice as the Granary then it definitely won't be our last.

September 2015
The cleanliness was very good. We loved this cottage and will be picking a Sykes cottage again. The views from the cottage were outstanding and the coast wasn't far away, just a car ride. The village of Wetwang was lovely and the fish and chip shop was excellent, best fish and chips I have ever tasted. We went to the Yorkshire air museum, the steam train from Pickering to Whitby and we visited seaside towns along the coast; Bridlington has a lovely promenade.
