I feel that this cottage was amazing. We are very choosey about cleanliness and standards and this cottage fulfilled every requirement. All the fittings and equipment were of a high standard. We were happy with the furnishings and the tub was great and a real treat for us all. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We will be back

Wow an absolutely beautiful property that is really well equipped and spacious.. There was ample space for the four of us plus a dog who also loved the freedom to roam the garden. The views from the windows over the fields are amazing and watching the sunset from the garden was fab. The owners were also friendly and on hand for any issues. We would love to visit again

House was in a great location with a lovely local pub (dog friendly and serves food).. The house had all the amenities you could think of or needed which was good for cooking in the house. It was very clean and furnished well. We had a very comfortable week and the dog enjoyed himself. The only downside to the property was that the hot tub was a wood fired tub. It sounds lovely but it was a commitment heating it up as it took around three hours from cold and needed wood in its fire every fifteen to thirty minutes. Fortunately we have a fire at home so knew how to get one going and keep it going. I think some would struggle without this experience. We only used the tub twice because of this, and electric one would have been much better. We would return if we were to explore this part of the north again.

Lovely cottage, set on lovely grounds.. we struggled to get the hot tub hot enough but it is winter! And the owner very nicely came and helped us. There was a bottle of prosseco, mince pies and fresh milk aswell as shampoo and all the other basics. The place is a lot bigger than the photos. We were so pleased there was a lovely Christmas tree up too! I would recommend. spotless and beautiful with comfy beds too. Thank you!

We were left a bottle of wine and mince pies by the owners who were friendly and very helpful. The local pub The Travelers was lovely the food was fantastic and a couple of minutes walk, dog friendly to. The hot tub was a challenge for us getting it warm was difficult. Overall we had a fantastic holiday enjoyed by all. Thank you.

Beautiful barn conversion.. Extremely friendly hosts who were most helpful. There were lots of unexpected extras such as croissants, milk, prosecco, fruit, flowers, amazing toiletries, games, books, all very touching. The area is stunning with plenty to do and lovely scenery and walks. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday, enjoyed the hot tub every evening and can't wait to return.

Very clean, comfortable, spacious property.. Lovely king size beds. Extremely dog friendly, even provided dog biscuits, treats, bowls and towels. Lovely big, secure garden for dogs. Park and ride two minutes away, very handy for Durham. Two good pubs around the corner, one serving enormous portions of food! Stairs a little steep for elderly, so just be careful. Will be happy to return here in the future.

We've just returned from this cottage and it was absolutely fantastic. From walking through the door we were completely at home. An amazing welcome pack was waiting for us with tea, coffee, milk, fruit, wine and beer but also a selection of jams, sauces and butter. The cottage is amazingly spacious and well equipped. The hot tub hadn't been installed when we booked so it was a lovely surprise a week before we went to be told it was there - the owners even supplied the towels for this along with an endless supply of wood. We were lucky with the weather so were out and about every day and the cottage was ideally situated for sightseeing in the area. I wish John and Tracey every success with this and your other new cottages.

The cottage was fantastic and a great base for touring the local area.. We felt at home from the moment that we arrived with an amazing welcoming pack. Every detail had been thought of for the guest's benefits. The hot tub hadn't been fitted when we booked the property so it was a lovely surprise to find out a week before we went that we had it and the towels were provided too. The owners live on site so are there if you need anything but they're not intrusive, John ensured we had a plentiful supply of wood for the hot tub! I recommend this cottage 100%
