The Granary is a special place to go to for a relaxing break.. The peace and quiet is heavenly there are no busy roads just the surrounding sounds of farm animals and birds. Janet and Cynthia are the most friendly people we have ever met and always available if you require any help at the end of the phone and not at all intrusive. The cottage has all the amenities for your stay, this includes extras like stair gates, fire guard and travel cot and high chair if you have very young babies / toddlers. If you choose to stay at The Granary you will never be disappointed.

A fantastic cottage a real home away from home.. My lb especially loved the big box of toys. It's a little bit out of the way but worth it for the quality of the cottage thank you for a lovely holiday x

A truly wonderful place to stay, the accommodation was the best we have ever stayed in, it truly surpassed our expectations.. This cottage is a home from home in a wonderful location. Janet went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. I will not hesitate to stay here again, in fact it will be our go to place from now on when visiting Staffordshire!

A country cottage fully stocked, even with freshly laid eggs.. A friendly owner living next door and lots of farm animals around to keep the kids interested. Would stay there again.

The Granary is the perfect place for peace and quiet.. The cottage is like being at home with everything a person requires for a relaxing getaway. It's vicinity is close to local attractions in the area, such as Museums, Alton Towers, Wedgewoods, Trentham Gardens and Monkey World to name a few. You are surrounded by beautiful scenery and lots of walks for ramblers. Your hosts Janet and Cynthia are unobstrousive but always available to provide help and information when required and have become an extended family to us. Like ourselves anyone who stays at the Granary will pay further visits in the future.

Janet and Cynthia have this cottage immaculate and equipped with everything you could conceivably needed, even down to the food which was stocked up in the fridge and cupboards! A great base for adventures in the Peak District.

An extremely wonderful experience from start to finish.. The property is situated in a beautiful part of the country with gorgeous scenery and lots of sheep! We were delighted with the cottage, it had everything you could wish for and more. The fridge/freezer was packed full of food, much more than was expected and the owners were really pleasant and accommodating. Would love to return at some time in the future.

Granary Cottage was very clean and comfortable.. Janet and Cynthia were warm and welcoming. The location of the cottage is ideal for exploring a fascinating part of the country - great scenery and walks, loads of interesting museums, National Trust properties and steam trains galore. What more can you ask for?!

We received a very warm welcome.. The cottage was very well equipped and was very comfortable. Everything had been thought about from toys for the children to food in the fridge. We enjoyed it so much we have booked to go again in May.

We were delighted with this cottage and hope to return.. This is one of the best-equipped cottages we have ever stayed in - like a true home-from-home. Janet, who owns the cottage, was so welcoming and had thoughtfully stocked the fridge for us. We were travelling with two small children (2 and 4 years old) who very much enjoyed the animals on the farm. The cottage also has a great range of toys which kept the little ones happy and entertained. There was also a good playpark around 1 mile away. The area is beautiful with surrounding views and hopefully we'll explore more next time.
