Accessed via a private, external wooden staircase and situated amongst beautiful sub-tropical shared grounds, with a private path leading directly to the beach, the property is excellently placed. There are three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a sitting room with dining area, open fire and lovely views towards the sea. Outside, the three acres of beautiful gardens, with a range of patios and seating areas, along with a tennis court, badminton net and croquet lawn are an absolute delight. There's also off road parking for two cars, not to mention the private path, which leads directly onto the beach! The Dovecote is an excellently-placed apartment, with homely accommodation, ideal for your seaside getaway.

Private access to beach 2 mins walk. Note: Gardens and access to beach are shared with the main house and the other apartment. Note: Pond with safety grid in shared grounds, children to be supervised. Note: Beach huts available to rent during your stay direct from the owners. Note: No stag/hen or similar. Note: Accessed via an external wooden staircase consisting of 13 steps.
We had a good time location was excellent, apartment a bit dated windows needed some attention.. The views were excellent, as we're the gardens and patio, definitely would go again.
The property, although ideally located, was somewhat grubby with dirty carpets and cushion covers.. We felt the flat could do with substantial renovation including decor and new carpets. We were unable to open the windows in one of the twin bedrooms as they were screwed down due to rotting window frames.
The house worked for us really well.. The living space was spacious and the sofas were so comfy and roomy for all of us.
Location could not have been more perfect, close enough to the centre but not close enough to lose the peace provided my Halfryns gardens. The private access to the beach was ideal with having a young family and we loved having the use of the beach hut.
The beach was stunning and we were very lucky with our weather for the whole week.
I would highly recommend both Sykes and Halfryn, everything went very smoothly.

The Dovecote is a great little unit within a larger grand property.. The location is faultless and hard to beat. The gardens are fabulous and the direct private access to the beach was a really nice feature of the property.
We booked extremely late, 28th December to arrive the following day and stay over New Year. As such we got a great price, but credit to the owners in being able to accommodate at such short notice.

We had a lovely week.. Lovely very comfortable property, with amazing sea views. The property is really well laid out and is perfect for the few cosy nights in we had (warm / nice big TV / dining table etc). Outside the property is part of and has access to the amazing Haulfryn House gardens, we had some great games of hide and seek with my 2 year old daughter in the gardens! There is also great access to the beach with a short walk through the gardens. Also on the plus side the property is located in a central location very close to Abersoch's shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs...a 2minute walk away along the properties drive!
This was paradise.. We shall return with reinforcements
