The cottage is ideally placed for seeing lots of places although the roads could be scary at times

We found the lounge was quite cold, (it was a cold week weather wise ), we had to use an extra heater which was rather noisy, and the seating not very really very comfortable, everywhere else, bedrooms bathroom, was were lovely and warm.. The shower was hit and miss. But other than that, the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The gardens were perfect to relax in, the scenery was lovely. It was an ideal location for reaching all the places of interest and beautiful beaches. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return there someday.

The cottage was lovely when we finally found it, it is quite remote and the instructions on how to reach it are not very clear.. The host left us some lovely food gifts & there was everything we needed to make our stay really comfortable. We will definetley be going back.

On arrival i found dog poo in grass at front of cottage, also the grass was in need of cutting to long to make use of garden.. Oven was greasy also some cutlery not clean. I feel that for 600 plus pounds it should have been nicer ,dissapointed.

The photographs on booking.. Com suggest there are beautiful sea views. There were no views at all. This is the first cottage i have booked where the photographs have mis represented the outlook. Very disappointed.

Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage had everything we needed was clean and comfortable, there was even milk in the fridge and a cake when we arrived, a nice touch.. The weather was a bit disappointing but didn’t spoil our holiday, granddaughter and dog looked the beaches and there are plenty of them and we went to quite a few. Narrow country lanes was a bit harrowing at times just needed to take it slow.

The property was as expected and described but would benefit from having a shower installed..

There was a problem with the door, in fact my wife was unable to open or lock it.. It wasn’t possible to have a shower as within seconds it went from scalding hot to freezing cold. A mirror on one of the bathroom walls would be a distinct advantage. Also Mrs Burrows was at the property for a total of one and a half days of the whole week. Whilst we didn’t want babysitting it would have been nice to have numbers in case of any emergencie as the owners were in London. As a time served joiner I could cope with the door but feel eventually someone will be either locked in or locked out of the cottage. We ended up coming home a day early.

The cottage was small, as expected, however the bedrooms were much smaller than we had anticipated.. The double bedroom was just about a double with little space either side of the bed and the single was only suitable for a child - very small with no storage facilities. We struggled with the shower head on the bath. We had realised there was no 'stand up' shower but had not anticipated the struggle to adjust the temperature of the water when using the shower head. We had imaged that the cottage was nearer to the town as it was described as being 'just outside' Beau Maris. The downstairs of the cottage was adequate with a comfortable sitting room and modern, well-fitted kitchen. We were not greeted by the owners even though they live on site.

The cottage at Wylan Hall was very private and in a relaxing location, about half a mile from the dog friendly beach which was a downhill walk on a tarmac single track road.. It was very cosy in a beautiful setting and there are some very good walks which we were able to enjoy. Some other beaches have restrictions for dogs between May and September. If you need a relaxing break, this is the place to come. Shops, pubs and restaurants involved a car journey but Red Wharf Bay is well worth a visit with the Ship Inn a lovely location for a drink or a meal. If the tide permits there is a walk along the coast to Bennlech. Any coeliacs, check out the gluten free fish and chip shop there. Beaumaris is only about 3 miles away. The owner, Alison, was very helpful and provided very comprehensive instructions on the location.

Lovely cottage although the beach wasn’t easy to get to with a 16month old and a pram! Great location to be able to meet many tourist sites. We had a wonderful week away with the cottage being our base for the week. The cottage is very comfortable and there was plenty of space for all things a 16month old toddler requires! Great week away!

The surrounding area is entirely single track, very steep lanes.. The entry gives the impression that the beach is pretty much next door. The guide says 5 or 10 minute walk. In reality it is down an incredibly steep and winding road. We did not attempt to walk it as the climb back up would have been too much. This made it that the car had to be used every day. Even for the local shops which required car journeys through the narrow lanes. Not very relaxing. In the cottage, the kitchen was small, cramped, was not heated and very cold. The lounge was comfortable with extra heaters provided. Upstairs was lacking a chair or stool to use when dressing or drying hair and no mirror. The bathroom has no shower and a narrow bath. Again, no fixed mirror to use for shaving, making for elaborate use of the small round one provided. What use is a mirror if it's out of the way or cannot be easily positioned. A personal welcome on arrival from the owners was a nice touch and cake and milk left in the kitchen. It won't take much to get the cottage better but prepare to use the car every day if you're not super fit.

Very relaxing holiday in a good location.. We hope to return in spring or summer to enjoy the coastal walks. We managed to see Red Squirrels so that was a high point. Cottage was cosy after being out most of the day.

This small house is in an idyllic spot, isolated and quiet, but within easy driving distance of beaches and towns.. The beach down the lane is fantastic for walkers, with or without dogs. The accommodation is comfy and warm, with everything in place to ensure a happy stay. It is a new let and everything is of a high standard. The kitchen is modern and efficient and the bathroom is clean and bright. Alison is very helpful, but isn't intrusive; the house is very private. Recommended highly for a restful stay in a particularly lovely part of the island. Our only disappointment was not to spot one of the red squirrels. Never mind, there's always next time ...

It is a great holiday location and cottage.. Everything was very clean and tidy and welcoming. The location is very quiet yet with good (5 - 10 min walk) access to a very long quiet beach. We were their first guests and we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. It was very useful to have a quality washing machine/dryer and wireless broadband was also very helpful and made up for the poor phone signal in the area (obviously nothing to do with the cottage). We did miss the convenience of a shower and the kitchen facilities were excellent but missing a microwave. We would definitely think about returning in the future.
