The cottage is in a lovely location.. Other than the adjoining cottages and the pub about 150 yds away, it was very secluded and quiet. Everything you could want for us provided and the kitchen was well equipped for a short stay. Lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome.

The Cider Press is a really lovely place to stay.. It has everything you would want for a great holiday - a well-equipped kitchen, abundant hot water, comfortable beds, lots of fluffy white towels, cosy warm sitting room, fast wi-fI, very attractive decor inside and a generous outside space. Caroline and Rupert made us feel so welcome and are very thoughtful. We really appreciated the tea and biscuits that greeted us on arrival after a hot drive from London, all the leaflets about things to do in the area, and their advice, tips and directions. The Cider Press is in a brilliant location, only 3 miles from Shaftesbury which is a beautiful English town, close to several stunning National Trust properties, not far from the amazing Dorset costline, AND right opposite a pub which has a fabulous view from the outside terrace. We will definitely be going back.

Caroline and Rupert were/are extraordinary hosts.. They could not have been more thoughtful, generous and accommodating. I loved my nearly 3 weeks at Cider Press and the chance to investigate nearby natural wonders like Lulworth Cove, the Durdle Door, Lyme Regis - I would return in a minute!

Lovely to meet the property owners who were very welcoming and friendly.. Lovely location for exploring Shaftsbury and surrounding area. Copperidge Inn (opposite accommodation) serves good food and drinks with very friendly staff. Whole area of Dorset seems dog friendly.

Lovely cottage and furnished to a very high specification with everything you could need, including milk, tea and coffee plus some lovely biscuits waiting for us.. Owners are very friendly and asked if there was anything else they could do to make future visitors experience any better....needless to say there wasn’t much!
