My family and I stayed at The Cartshed for 3 nights.. It was one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It is absolutely beautiful and the welcome gifts of homemade cakes and wine was just wonderful. We would definitely return and recommend this cottage to family and friends.

For although freezer space was available in the main house, it would have been better and more convenient (given the wet weather) if the cottage had, had its own fridge/freezer as opposed to just a fridge, otherwise it was very nice and the welcome pack of cakes and wine a nice touch.. Would definitely recommend.

The Cartshed is the perfect place to relax and unwind, great host, beautiful area, cottage is so cosy and comfortable.. ..loved sitting in front of the log burner in the evenings, reading, watching tv, and enjoying a glass or two...we will be back!

Love the welcome we got a bottle of wine, cakes home made, milk and teabags all ready on our arrival, sorry nearly forgot a lovely bunch of Roses.. The cottage was just as we expected, the only downside, but a very little downside was the water pressure was low just enough to have a shower, but enough we certainly were never dirty. Really well stocked cottage

Fantastic facility - only real way I can think to improve is to have a sofa in the living room however I understand that may compromise space..

This was a lovely cottage and suited our needs perfectly.. As two friends, we wanted two double bedrooms and two bathrooms so that we could have some privacy. This is not an easy requirement to find. This was a clean, very well appointed cottage and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Beautiful and tastefully converted barn, with every home comfort and useful maps and info.. Owners were fantastic, providing the privacy we wanted, but always knew they were on hand to help if we needed help. We didn't! Could not have asked for more. A truly lovely week.

Super holiday! The Carthouse (yes, a genuine converted barn) was renovated and furnished to a very high standard. Furthermore the friendliness and courtesy of the owners, who live in the farmhouse, was exemplary. Little touches make their guests feel valued and cared for. Highly recommended place to stay for those who like a peaceful, rural location and who appreciate quality. Lovely places to visit within easy distance - Richmond, of course, also Thirsk and Helmsley.

The Cartshed is a marvellous conversion from an old farm building into a stunning holiday cottage.. It was extremely stylish and comfortable with everything you would need in the kitchen. The home baking, farm eggs, coffee and wine which greeted us on arrival was a wonderful touch. The owners of the Cartshed were superb hosts - vey friendly and knowledgeable. We also enjoyed the experience of being on a working farm and were able to see the cows, pigs, sheep, a rescue pony and the hens.

The hospitality of the owners Ann and William was first class.. They have produced a superb holiday let of which they are clearly proud. We enjoyed them showing us the workings of their farm and their plans for further development of the property. We have no reservation in recommending this property.

The week we spent at The Cartshed was simply fantastic! The property was recently renovated and is so comfortable as it had every conceivable thing we needed as a young family and has so much character in addition. The Cartshed is also wonderfully located for sightseeing in the beautiful surrounding area of North Yorkshire. We would return back in a heartbeat!
