Tenby has a rich history which is documented in the 13th century medieval town walls, with the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, St. Mary's Church, and Tudor Merchant's House. Tenby's Welsh name, Dinbych-y-Pysgod, meaning 'Little Fortress of the Fish' is so named for its lovely harbour beside Castle Hill, where you can set off on a mackerel fishing trip.
