Northumberland has everything - unspoilt coast, historical monuments, wonderful countryside.. One of the best places to stay in UK. Then there's the birds, the sunsets and the food. Belford itself is a great central location.

Very comfortable accomodation and exactly as described.. Previous comments showed disappointment that the hot tub was not in use, but this is clearly in the description and was not an issue for us. Despite having poor weather, the property was superb, solid wood floors throughout meant we were not too concerned about leaving 'wet' patches on the floor.

To me when you do the search engine for hot tub and this property comes up only for once you've booked it like I did to find in small print that it's not now available from the 1st of April was a massive disappointment really should not come up in the first place or it should be CLEARLY stated at the point of booking in large letters and maybe a different colour for certain as it looks like you're selling something which isn't there..

The whole experience was lovely, the property looked better than in the photos and the hosts had thought of everything.. Just felt like a home away from home. We would have booked it again in a heart beat had they not been getting rid of the hot tub, really hope they reconsider that. That was literally the only disappointment we had. The area is lovely, co op is well stocked. The chippy up the road was amazing with proper beef dripping batter and the black swan pub in the square was lovely and welcoming. Plenty of places to walk your dog too and most places are dog friendly. The potted lobster restaurant in near by Bamburgh does a lovely meal if you’re looking for something a bit better than pub grub. Will definitely come back to the area just a shame it couldn’t be this cottage as a hot tub is a must for us as it makes it that bit more special.

A great house in a great part of the world! The house has a quality feel about it and the beds were extremely comfortable. Particularly liked the top bedroom with the terrace. Hot tub was also a nice addition! Will definitely look to come back at some point.

We stayed at this property in February this year & unfortunately can see a deterioration in the level of house cleaning in preparation for our arrival this time.. Also some maintenance needs attention regarding windows & ensuring there is a supply of lightbulbs would be helpful as there were 5 bulbs out in the lounge area.

The house was lovely, clean and well equipped.. We had two 16 year old girls with us who even though the WiFi didn't reach up to the bedrooms were more than happy in the hot tub while the adults were up on the decked balcony enjoying the views in the sunshine. Belford itself is ideally central, just off the A1, handy for all towns from Beadnell up to Berwick, perfect location as a base to explore the stunning Norhumbrian coastline.

We arrived in the midst of a massive thunder and lightening storm the rain was torrential.. Once we located the cottage the first impression was OMG its grim however once inside nothing could have been further from the truth. More than adequate size wise, clean, well equipped, comfortable and neat. A great village as a base for local attractions and a stonking county to visit. Sad to see the decline of the town best represented by the local Blue Bell Hotel which was dreadful. Such a shame such a bonny town has been left practically soulless through the closure of stores although the Co-op was great. Lovely people, great part of the country and very good cottage.

House was one of the best I've stayed in over the years. Was huge and spacious. Kids enjoyed the hot tub. House was very well furnished and didn't have to want for anything. Shop is a mere 3 minute walk away and pub/food is another 2 mins. Not going to dwell on any negatives as the positives totally outweigh them.

Holiday let was great, from the location being so close to all the places we wanted to visit to be comfortable to live in.. It would be an exceed but the power tripped several times a day. Great place, well laid out very well equipped.

The wooden floors were especially good for keeping the house tidy as there were three young children in our party. We all loved the hot tub particularly as it rained a few times, it meant that the day was saved! The house is also in a wonderful location for both the sea and the countryside with excellent local facilities.

We loved the country setting (yet only a few minutes from the A1), the large bedrooms, the fully equipped spacious kitchen with large dining table, the large bathroom with walk in shower and bath, breakfast on the roof terrace (a real sun trap), relaxing in the hot tub, and the enclosed garden (for our dog). Belford is a friendly little town with all the local amenities within easy walking distance of the cottage, yet only a short drive from the lovely beach at Bamburgh and the big town amenities of Alnwick. We were pleasantly surprised at how many dog-friendly pubs and shops there were in the area generally - so it was great to all get out together of an evening. Despite the Berwick being a pet-friendly cottage, and our border terrier Bobbi loved it, there was absolutely no sign of any previous tenants being of the 4-legged variety, as the owner Colin keeps it equipped and maintained to a high standard. Thoroughly enjoyed our week there.
