Very comfortable and modern apartment with a great view and a large covered balcony at the front. We really liked this place but it's worth doing a bit of research first. The nearest shop is 14 miles away (on a good road though) and the local pub is nothing to write home about. We'd definitely book again and enjoyed our week here a lot.

For once, the pictures did actually do the place justice.. That is because from any angle, whether inside or out, this place is stunning! I have never, ever in my entire life, been surrounded by such idyllic beauty, peace & quiet. It is without doubt, one of the most beautifully finished, ‘no expense spared’, detached apartments I have ever had the privilege to visit. Also, the balcony is blessed with one of the most stunningly picturesque views, you are every likely to witness, in Scotland or anywhere in the entire world. I realise this is a rather grandiose claim, but you will see what I mean if you visit. Trust me. I miss it already! The weather was typically ‘Scottish’, for early March, therefore I don’t think it stopped raining the whole week I was there! I have to say, I had every intention of going on more than the odd, long walk or ‘ramble’ (which I still did) while there.. Although, if I’m really, really honest, I spent most of the week curled up on the sofa, with many a cup of tea and a good book (or six), savouring every single second of the absolute and total peace & quiet... What with the weather and numerous coffee and rest breaks, It did take me a quite daunting 11 plus hours to drive up there and another 11 or so, to drive back! However, once I arrived and got myself settled in, it was soon apparent that the journey was well and truly worth it! So much so, that from now onwards, I will definitely be booking a week or two at the apartment, every single year from now onwards! Providing the owners will have me back that is! ! Which does actually bring me, quite conveniently onto my final point regarding the apartment... So, in the interest of being totally honest and transparent, I do feel I must disclose the one and only problem I do have, concerning the apartment... It isn’t actually mine!!! : )

The apartment was fantastic, the pictures didn’t really do it any justice! The views were beautiful, the apartment was clean and very modern. We had a problem with the power which was rectified within 40 mins with the owner coming out herself to sort out. It’s ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet and somewhere to relax away from city life. The only issue I found is because you need the ferry to get to the town (unless you drive around which takes around 50 mins, you can feel a little isolated) but that’s not a massive issue. Highly recommended!! Would absolutely book again. Thank you Rachel!
