The welcome we received has to be the best that we have ever had from a holiday let - cake, wine and even treats for the dogs brilliant.. The beautiful, fully dog proof garden is excellent. The bungalow is perfectly fitted out with all the equipment anybody could want. Well done Mr and Mrs Banks and thank you.

This property has the safest garden for a dog that we have encountered with any rental.. So often a property is listed as 'pet-friendly' but you arrive to find that although pets are allowed in the property, the garden is not safely fenced... The hamlet of Lower Ashton in the pretty Teign Valley is peaceful and its pub welcoming, with local beer and a good choice of well-cooked meals.

Teign View is a lovely spacious, warm and comfortable bungalow with everything needed for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.. We were met by Joan, the owner who showed us around and gave us the rundown on everything. She left us with a stack of goodies and treats for the dogs, all of which was very much appreciated after a long journey. Our two dogs enjoyed the freedom of the garden and the river walk down the road, and it was useful to have a back entrance and an area to clean and dry them. The pub across the road do excellent meals and everybody we met in Lower Ashton, and elsewhere, were very friendly. Although the place is quiet and peaceful there is lots to see and without going too far. All in all a lovely holiday with superb weather. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back again.

Everything met all our needs would recommend this location for anyone wishing a quiet holiday but with only a short drive to the coastal towns.. Dartmoor National Park is a must for the more adventurous, followed by a pint in the many local pubs.

A most enjoyable week and a splendid welcome from Mr.. & Mrs. Bankes with a Devonshire cream tea and also wine. A very nice lounge, comfortable bedrooms and excellent well equipped kitchen. The garden was a delightful place to spend a little quiet time. For our purposes the cottage was ideally situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park with a friendly Inn serving delicious and imaginative meals just across the road.

Lovely cottage in small village watch out for sat nav traps when driving round area lots of small single track roads but you soon learn to avoid them and take a slightly longer route cottage and garden very relaxing pub road corner has excellent food but you do need to book they are very busy had a fantastic week here lots of walking routes not far away

Comfortable bungalow accommodation with lovely wide garden.. Ideal for small and big children alike. Friendly owners who cannot do enough for you to make your stay relaxing. When we arrived Joan had made us so homemade cakes, a pot of tea and our small boys had a kinder egg each, a lovely touch. We also were given a bottle of wine that we enjoyed very much. All in all a really nice bungalow in a quiet location. It has no mobile signal there at all but has a land line for emergencies. Corner of road leading to the property is very tight and only normal sized cars would get round it. Beautiful surroundings and many places of interest to explore.

This was a brilliant place it was in a fantastic position, a lovely little pretty Devon village, with a fantastic local pub serving wonderful food.. The owners of Teign View were absolutely marvellous, so friendly and helpful, the cottage itself was lovely, beautiful gardens to sit in, there was not one household utensil that was missing, everything was catered for I truly could not fault the place at all and will definitely be returning as it was home from home.

This is a superbly appointed property, very comfortable and quiet.. Handy for visiting places around South Devon both coastal and beautiful Dartmoor inland. We took our dog and there is a lovely enclosed garden plus the bonus of a covered area where she could be dried off before coming indoors. There is a lovely pub (The Manor Inn) just a few yards away, the staff are very friendly and food superb. We will certainly re-visit in the future.
