Tegfan is a delightful, beautifully renovated cottage in the village of St Harmon in Powys. The cottage can sleep four people in two bedrooms which are made up of a double and a twin as well as a separate bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a kitchen with dining area, a sitting room and a conservatory. To the outside is off road parking for three cars and an enclosed garden with hot tub and fire pit. Set in wonderful surroundings, Tegfan is a property that can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Area
The village of St. Harmon is located on the River Marteg in the county of Powys, amidst the beautiful countryside surrounding Rhayader. Rhayader is a bustling market town with an abundance of small unusual shops, many eating establishments and pubs, a leisure complex, and for outdoors enthusiasts, cycle hire is available in the town. There is a wonderful feeding station for Red Kites near Rhayader, where they can be observed quite closely.

Region
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Shop 4 miles and pub less than 1 mile. Elan valley, fishing, fantastic walks all close by. Note: This property is surrounded by owners working farm. Note: The hot tub will not be to temperature on arrival due to being cleaned on each changeover. Note: Due to the location of the property, mobile phone signal may be limited. Note: There is another holiday home next door so please be aware of other guests on site. EV car charging available at £10.00 per day per car.

We have been back twice and going back this year the hosts are amazing so friendly we take out Labrador and he loves the big garden hot tub is the children a favourite the hot tub is in a good place to take all the views in

What an amazing pink bungalow this is! From the moment we arrived we knew this was going to be such an enjoyable mini break... the bungalow was so spacious with plenty of room for my partner and I as well as our dog Reggie the Weimaraner :) One thing we have always struggled with at holiday homes is having the outdoor space for our dog who loves nothing more than to tire himself out in the garden and here he could do just that! The garden was a very good size and was certainly escape proof! Upon arrival the property was spotless and we found everything we could have ever needed. The surroundings were beautiful and it was so relaxing so we didn’t mind spending a rainy day just sat in the conservatory reading a book! Tegfan is in a perfect location, being only a short drive away from Rhayader and Elan Valley. It was also near to Gigrin Farm red kite feeding site which we would highly recommend as well as Aberdovey beach which was just over an hours drive away. Then after a full days activities, there was nothing better than relaxing in the hot tub taking in the stunning views abs peaceful vibe. Overall we couldn’t say a bad word about Tegfan and left with nothing but happy memories (and not wanting to leave!) We will certainly be returning sometime in the not so distant future and have already recommended to family and friends! Thank you Leanne and Graham!!

“A lovely little pink cottage in beautiful scenery!! The cottage is immaculate throughout and lovely and warm on a chilly October evening!!! There is plenty to see and do in the Ellan Valley and coming back to this little cottage each evening was exactly what we needed!! The hot tub in the evenings was an added extra especially with the view watching the sun go down!!! We will definitely be back for another stay, thank you so much!!!”

Beautiful bungalow in a beautiful location. When we arrived it was so nice and so thoughtful of Leanne & Graham to leave us some welcome gifts. They were certainly well received, arriving on a Friday evening. The bungalow was lovely and clean, spacious and cosy, with all the amenities needed for our stay. Although the weather stopped us getting out as much as we normally would, the peaceful location made for a relaxing week. Being so close to the Elan Valley is a great bonus and after a scenic walk it was lovely to come back and relax in the hot tub. I would definitely recommend this bungalow to anyone looking for a lovely accommodation in a great location.

Well equipped bungalow. Great for access to the Elan valley (you have to visit there). Could just do with some local information on dog walks and a more private way to access the hot tub maybe. Saying that, it really is a home from home, very clean, great for dogs. Thank you.

Having stayed at many holiday cottages this one is my absolute favourite. Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and thoughtfully enhanced with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Kitchen is well equipped, dishwasher and washing machine (a couple of tablets provided for each), iron and ironing board and fridge included a small freezer compartment. There is plenty of space both indoor and outdoors to spend time at the cottage. Family games were provided. We took our dog who loved the spacious garden and was free to roam as the garden is very secure. Dog bowls and towels were also provided. On arrival the key was easy to access and I really liked that we weren’t bombarded by the owners (who are lovely) like most places and we had time to unpack and get relaxed quickly after a long drive. One of the highlights was enjoying the garden with its spectacular views and of course the hot tub! We don’t usually revisited cottages as we like to try something new but we are already making plans to revisit this cottage next year for a longer stay. Really relaxing place with plenty to do nearby or a short drive away. Highly recommend.
