Perfect location, lovely and peaceful. The Barn is beautifully, hot tub and garden fantastic, Bedrooms are perfect with comfy beds. Lovely bathrooms, downstairs one has a roasting hot towel rail. Lounge is cosy and warm, Kitchen is very well appointed with everything we needed plus a lovely family sized table. Our dog loved the garden and walks. The only slight negative for some people would be some noise from the road but that didn’t bother us, plus phone reception was almost non existent. Neither of these were a problem for us as these are to be expected in more remote locations. PS don’t forget to visit the donkey sanctuary down the road. Thank you very much to the owner for a perfect holiday.

First impressions of this rental as we drove up the over grown driveway wasn’t good, We was greeted with rotten gate posts, flower pots with more weeds and nettles than flowers, dead leaves, hanging gutters, filthy windows and unwanted junk in the bin shelter. Upon entering the barn there was a strong smell of drains, the kitchen was in need of maintenance with door handles hanging off units and badly fitted flooring. We was shocked at the state of the kitchen utensils which had obviously been put away dirty and not checked by the cleaners prior to our arrival. The downstairs bathroom sink had badly fitted taps which felt like they might come off in your hand. We wish we had taken our own towels as what was provided was stained and ripped, badly in need of replacement. The back garden was overgrown with weeds and rotting fence and gate around the decked area, gutters were hanging down and clogged with leaves. The upstairs toilet was a very strange contraption that burped and spluttered with each flush and again emitted an unpleasant smell. We asked the owner prior to our arrival if there was a bbq that we could use, we was shocked by the state of it rusty with broken handles it just wasn’t safe or hygienic to use. The neighbours dog would visit most days in the front of the property and do it’s business, this didn’t go during well with our dog. On the plus side the beds were clean and comfortable as was the lounge furniture. Unfortunately we wouldn’t return to this property and felt that it was very expensive for the current state it’s in.

A lovingly adapted Barn set in stunning scenery, a short walk to the town and in very close proximity to Dartmoor National Park, Tavistock, Plymouth and so many amazing places that you can visit. The barn itself was very well kept, spacious, Dog friendly and amazing value for the money. The access to the Garden and hot tub from the Master bedroom makes life easy and luxurious after a long hike through the Hills and gorges of Dartmoor. The Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, Just add food and you could cook up a storm! Would like to Thank the owner for an amazing stay! 110% Recommend to Singles, Couples, families and all. Very Dog Friendly!!
