Svanöy

A house made of old wood, beautifully integrated into the landscape, located in a very quiet bay with a view of the fjord. A secluded island forest surrounds the hinterland. The path to the boat is close, while the path to the parking lot and the island road is challenging but beautiful. The owner and builder of the house is very friendly and speaks German and English, among other languages. We fished for ling and mackerel, barbecued, hiked, and went swimming.

It was a great week to rest in peaceful area with amazing amazing amazing views in cosy cottage! Beautiful island, great spots for fishing, huge crabs and possibility to observe little, funny crabs on the beach. We could see deers and sheep nearby. The owner was very nice and helpful. Highly recommend this offer :)

The location of the hut is a dream - but... other circumstances take away a lot of this potential... the owner seems to be using it as a private retreat, at least for family reasons, since the multitude of his personal things that are there be stored by him, the feeling of "here I am at home for 2 weeks" prevented...the existing boat is definitely not suitable for this open water - the owner knows this too and therefore only provides a 5 hp motor available to prevent guests from driving further out...the ordered 10 hp motor could not be used...so fishing was unfortunately very limited....in the hut itself you can see a repair backlog (a lot of tape is welcome )...all in all, the landlord was very financially oriented, the billing of the additional costs has still not taken place.....in comparison, however, he demanded the additional costs and deposits shortly after arrival....something doesn't fit here.
