This is our 2nd visit to Sussex Lodge.. It's ideal for me and my family as we are near family but near to some beautiful beaches and country side. I recommend Wells House and Garden and Kilmuckridge beach. The fabulous Hollow pub is on the doorstep - many thanks to Sonny and Carol for some good night's!

This is a lovely house to have as a base for exploring the beautiful Southern Ireland.. Phylis was very friendly and helpful even providing us with delicious free range eggs from her farm. The house has everything you need and is very cosy when the heating or wood burner is on.In the evening there is a local pub nearby or you can stay in and chill but beware the Irish tv is very limited with programmes !The showers are powerful and hot and the beds are very cosy-you almost don’t want to get up!We really loved visiting here even if it takes so long to get everywhere!!

Met by owner, lovely woman, Phillis.. had put a dog bowl out for our dog, very thoughtful, beautiful bungalow, fully equipped with stunning views and very warm when we were stuck with mega snow and storm Emma. She even sent in very kind neighbour to check we were ok. There was a threat we would be snowed in and this was no problem to the owner who offered us to stay as long as needed. With no extra cost. Luckily local farmers rallied around and with the use of several diggers cleared the roads, enabling us to return to Dublin to catch our ferry home. We highly recommend to everyone this very homely bungalow, Michael & Lesley McConville

We needed a base to host a large family gathering and this ticked all of the boxes. What the accurate description doesn't mention is that it's beyond fully equipped - we had nearly 20 people sitting down to a large lunch and didn't run out of crockery, cutlery, glasses or mugs! Incredible - we would struggle to do that in our own home! The house is warm, conveniently only 100 yards from a really friendly traditional country pub (with a lovely chatty landlady), was clean and totally ready for us when we arrived - even the kettle was on! 100% recommend anyone visiting Enniscorthy or the local area to stay here. Incredible value, a beautiful setting with distant views of the hills. It's a really peaceful area and perfectly dark at night if you are into your nighttime photography or star gazing.

We had a great week in Sussex Lodge.. It's a large, spacious, warm & clean bungalow with everything we needed for our stay. It's a short drive into Enniscorthy which has a good selection of shops and we enjoyed trips to the coast, and did lots of Christmas shopping in Wexford Gorey and lovely Kilkenny. Rupert, our dog loved it too as the garden is large and enclosed and the quiet country roads around the property are great for walks. Recommended!

The house was very comfortable and clean.. I have rented out cottages all over Ireland. I have never stayed in such a well equipped house before . The host was a genuine decent lady and she went out of her way to insure we had everything we needed . The neighbours were warm and very obliging. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sussex lodge and the host to every one who asked my advise on a great place to stay. Deirdre Weldon Dublin
