Holiday home
Starfish Cottage is set on a hillside and enjoys wonderful views of the Sound of Mull, on the lovely Isle of Mull. This charming cottage has one bedroom with a king-size double bed, and a bathroom with Jacuzzi bath. There is also a sauna. The kitchen is well equipped, and the sitting room has a sofabed, dining area and a woodburning stove. Outside, there is a decked area with furniture and a BBQ, as well as off road parking. Ideal for a romantic break or simply for exploring the terrific walks and stunning scenery of the Isle, Starfish Cottages makes a super year-round retreat.Please note: Bookings can only be made with a Saturday check-in and for seven nights.

All ground floor. One king-size double bedroom. Bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Kitchen. Utility. Sitting room with dining area and woodburner.

Area
Salen, a small village on the Isle of Mull, is perfectly placed for exploring the island. Salen has two hotels, a coffee shop and a restaurant, and both the ferry terminal and islands capital town are around 15 miles away. There is great walking in the countryside around Salen, as well as mountain biking and pony trekking. The town of Tobermory has a choice of places to eat, as well as a chocolate factory and whisky distillery.

Region
From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

To say this cottage surpassed expectations would be wildly understating the fact! This was less like a holiday cottage but more like a luxury small home, in fact in terms of amenities there is more in this cottage than I have at my home! Not to mention the views which are beyond amazing, we were even lucky enough to have an eagle (could have been a buzzard, but given the size I am thinking Golden Eagle) swing by for a close view. The views themselves would be enough to sell this place, but the comfort and facilities are second to none. Cozying up in the evening with the dog in front of the fire and a movie on looking out the picture window was spectacular. As an aside, any communication I had with the owner was fantastic; really pleasant, friendly, and quick to come back.

The cottage is superb.. facilities are excellent, sauna is a nice touch and scenery from windows are awesome. if you want a peaceful relaxing holiday this is the place.

This was our second visit to Starfish Cottage + we will absolutely be booking again for next year.. Such an amazing place to visit. There really are no negatives. Highlights of the cottage are the log burner + incredible views. It's perfect for our dog with a large fully enclosed garden. The island itself has too many amazing walks to fit into one week. The Mishnish pub in Tobermory does an amazing fish + chips

Fantastic property.. Starfish Cottage was really comfortable, views were incredible too (could literally sit on the sofa and enjoy vies right over the Sound of Mull!!) Lots of lovely wildlife around as well as the friendly horses and dog from the neighboring farmhouse. The Jacuzzi bath, sauna and steam power shower were amazing,especially after long days exploring. Mull as a whole was stunning and a week just isnt long enough to see everything so we will definitely return again!!!!

Easy to find cottage from Craignure ferry.. Spacious everything you need to enjoy your holiday. Wonderful view from the lounge and bedroom. The sauna and jacuzzi bath are a real bonus after a day walking. The garden is secure for dogs to wander around in happily. Very quiet and peaceful and you can even see the white tailed eagles flying above the cottage.

Cottage is equipped home from home facilities which was great; scenery around the cottage was breath taking and very peaceful.. Cottage is not far from the ferry and Salen is central to get around the Island to see wildlife.

We love Mull and Starfish cottage was perfect for us and our 3 dogs.. The cottage itself and the greeting from Donald and the cleaning ladies was very warm and welcoming.Nothing was too much trouble,even best fishing/walking spots were given!

Wonderful cottage on beautiful Mull.. The view from the window was stunning! Comfy, homely cottage with lovely wood burner. Bathroom facilities fab and our dog loved the underfloor heating. Would highly recommend.
