The house has wonderful views of the sea and it is only a few strides to the shoreline.. We got some great pictures of the sunsets during our stay. It is a short walk into town and there are some lovely walks which you can do from the house. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay.
The house is only a short distance from the ferry terminal and very easy to find. We enjoyed our stay.
This is a fantastic home.. It is spacious with a view from the upstairs sitting room to die for. The rooms are huge and the beds are so comfortable. I can thoroughly recommend this property and Rebecca who was very helpful. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home and for organising a wall to wall week of sunshine !!
The house is just a short walk away from Yarmouth, which has pubs, restaurants and shops - perfect for a gin and tonic in the evening if you are that way inclined. The house is well equipped with everything you could need to prepare food for a large group. All 5 bedrooms have really comfy beds made up with good quality linen and lovely snuggly blankets were a nice touch. The views over the solent from the living room are to die for - definitely my favourite room of the house to sit and relax in. There is a conservatory with plenty of seating as well as garden furniture on the patio with a garden and washing line (very useful when taking small children anywhere). In all the property is perfect for large groups. We will definitely be back!
We stayed for a week in this lovely house. Very good size rooms, the view from the upstairs lounge is beautiful - looking out onto the Solent - with gorgeous sunsets. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, knives etc. Well situated, about a 5 minute walk into Yarmouth with good selection of restaurants, pubs and a local store. We are already planning our next trip!
We had a fantastic break.. As a family we were celebrating a special occasion so were prepared to push the boat out a bit. The house in Yarmouth was perfect. It is right on the coast so the view was amazing. The house was very well prepared both in terms of the facilities but also the cleanliness and the decor. It has clearly had quite a bit of money spent on the upgrade in the last couple of years.
We all had a great time, spending days out and about on the island but always looking forward to coming back to the house. Would certainly go again!
If you want a large, comfortable house near Yarmouth then this is the place for you. As others have mentioned, the house is nicely situated just a few minutes walk from the very pleasant village of Yarmouth which has a variety of shops and places to eat. There are endless places to walk, ride or drive with something for everyone. The house has large, light bedrooms, nicely furnished, with sinks in some rooms which cuts down the time in the bathrooms for teeth cleaning and shaving etc. Children can try crabbing, just across the road which is better than on the pier. The views from the upstairs windows are unmissable and if you are lucky you will see a million stars when the light subsides. Go see for yourself.
This is an attractive, well equipped and well maintained house and it has been designed with thought and imagination. The bedrooms are large and communal areas attractive, so that guests have privacy as well as convivial times together - perfect for groups or mixed generation families. The off street parking is big enough for three cars. Location is excellent - a short walk to Yarmouth (for breakfast and interesting shops), and the many rural and coastal attractions of the IoW on the doorstep. We had a wonderful Christmas holiday - and cooking Christmas meals for 5 adults and 2 children was easy in the well appointed kitchen.
This is a comfortable, well equipped and maintained cottage in an excellent location for walking, restaurants, and as a centre to explore the Isle of Wight.. Someone is at hand to help with queries, and the owner is very helpful. There is everything you need - just add family and friends.
St David's is a well appointed holiday home in a great location on the outskirts of Yarmouth, a 10 minute walk into the centre of town..
Had a fantastic early September break at St Davids.. Our party consisted of eight, age range 2 - 92. Location is pretty near perfect as a base for a short walk into Yarmouth or discovering the many delights that West Wight has to offer. The accommodation is homely but without being too fussy and the view from the sitting room is one to behold. We would recommend this property wholeheartedly and would look forward to booking again if/when we have another family break on the Island.
Recently returned from a full weeks booking for our extended family. Plenty of room for eight adults, two children and two babies. Very well equipped with plenty of facilities to cope with such a large group. Room to park four cars and not only an easy 10 minute walk from central Yarmouth but the number 7 and a Rover open top bus stop outside the door. All the bedrooms are large with first class bedding. We enjoyed time in the upstairs lounge with great sea views and the downstairs conservatory with easy access to the garden and BBQ. There is a signed footpath across the road which leads to the coastal path and several of our group enjoyed watching the sunset (and a glass of wine) on a bench where path emerges. we can also recommend the old railway track ) turn left from side entrance and its 50 yards on right hand side. The path will take you all the way to Freshwater (around 45 minutes) but do stop off at the wonderfully restored Railway Station Cafe which served excellent breakfast and coffee. Such a great holiday we were reluctant to leave and have it on our list to return for a future stay. Highly recommended.
Beautiful house, great location.. We all enjoyed watching the boats from the lounge window. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to family and friends. We walked into Yarmouth which only takes about 5 minutes andhas a number of good restaurants, which welcome families with small children
Great well equipped cottage in excellent location.. Parking for our four cars and only 10 minutes walk from central Yarmouth. Great sea views from upstairs lounge. All family really enjoyed our break and would highly recommend
Our party of 11, ranging in age from 20 months to 62 years, had a sensational time at St Davids.. We were very impressed when we arrived at how the house had been presented. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very well appointed and the beds extremely comfortable. We could lose various members of our family amongst the many rooms. The lounge and conservatory became playrooms, but once the young ones were asleep were very quickly social areas for chatting and more games. The lounge is ideal and the view spectacular. The kitchen dining and laundry areas were ideal for the size of our party. We took advantage of the garden for a barbeque, swingball, a paddling pool and many balls games. We have even left a red frisbee in one of the trees!! We felt St Davids was ideally positioned both for walking into the lovely town of Yarmouth along the coastal or railway paths and for travelling further afield. We went fossil hunting at Compton Bay, Crabbing at The Duver and visits to Blackgang Chine, Robin Hill Country Park and Tapnell Farmpark were also enjoyed. We hope very much to return one day.
The house was ideally placed to view the Solent and the sea views from the lounge were enticing.. The bedrooms were spacious and there was plenty of room to relax and also, get together as a family. Our party consisted of 8, including an 8 month old baby and his great grandmother of 86. St David's is ideally situated with a lovely walk along the sea front to Yarmouth (some really good restaurants and sunsets) and the bus goes right outside the door. I can highly recommend the walk to the station restaurant for breakfast, called 'Off the rails'. We all enjoyed the amazing food and view of the river and nature reserve. The house is located within easy driving distance of many tourist sites and our children, (aged over 25), really enjoyed the Needles and the Llama walk. This holiday was full of surprises and we would highly recommend St David's as a base for your holiday experience.
Had a really lovely week at St Davids, easy walking to Yarmouth and beyond.. We were a party of 5 so lots of room for us. The house is lovely and warm even in the snow.
The location of this house is just fantastic.. It's ideally situated for exploring the west of the island and there are lots of good pubs and restaurants nearby. The house itself exceeded expectations with its well fitted kitchen, very comfortable extra large beds, and everything was exceptionally clean. The bathrooms and shower rooms were very modern and the smart TVs and high speed WIFI were ideal for the younger members of the family. I would highly recommend this property for anyone's holiday on the Isle of Wight.
our group of 10 friends have a great long weekend at St Davids in September. The house was even better than the photos showed, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. House was immaculate, clean and very comfortable. The location could not be better, a very easy walk to Off The Rails restaurant, which is a disused railway station, Also very easy to walk into town and can recommend Salty's, a fish restaurant in the heart of Yarmouth, which has live music on a Saturday night in the season. A great walk can be had to Freshwater Bay,and onwards to Alum Bay and the Needles (if you have the stamina) There is bus from the Needles viewpoint back to just outside the house. I cannot recommend this property highly enough, We would love to go back, as there is so much more to see and do.
Extremely clean house.. Excellent quality furnishings. Easy walk to Yarmouth and location overlooking the sea was fabulous - worth being aware of the road between the house and the sea which at times can be busy.
We had a fantastic weekend celebrating our mothers birthday. House was clean and well presented, kitchen had everything you could need. We arrived Friday evening and had a sainsbury shopping delivery and then had a barbaque. The bathrooms were moder. We had lots of places to sit and chat, lounge with glorious views, dinning room, conservatory and garden, all comfortably seating 10. We were quite sad to leave and kept thinking about the house all week. Would love to stay again.
Really lovely house to stay in, perfectly presented with lots of space to relax in. Shops just round the corner, a short walk to the harbour and a stones throw to the sea front. Would def recommend and will hopefully be going back soon.
We had a lovely stay at St Davids. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated, everything was immaculate and very comfortable. There are beautiful views across the sea from the house and lovely walks along the coast and into the town. There is lovely outside space and there was plenty of parking for our group, we easily fit 3 cars and there would have been room for 1 more. Highly recommended this house.
St David's is every bit as good as it looks in the pictures! Newly refurbished, spotlessly clean and very well equipped for a family holiday. Yarmouth is a lovely part of the Isle of Wight and the sea views from the house are magnificent. One thing I would note is that there is only off-road parking for 2 cars and with a house that sleeps 10 you may need more than that (we didn't!).
This house is in an ideal location. It has stunning sea views and it is an easy and relaxing walk into Yarmouth, where there are great places to eat. The house itself is spacious and immaculately clean, with comfortable beds. We could not have wished for better accommodation!
Lovely big house ideal for large family
The house was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It was ideally situated close to Yarmouth which we thought was a delightful little town.
St Davids is an extremely comfortable and well equipped house. It provides 5 Star accommodation for up to 10 people and is ideal for a holiday for an extended family.
It is located 10 minutes walk from the centre of Yarmouth and has stunning sea views.
