Your first port of call, was the directions to find the holiday cottage, found it with ease as it is tucked out of the way down little narrow lanes.. The lodge itself, is well situated within the site. Lovely veranda off the lounge area. home from home. Only down side that we found was that there is no hooks on bedroom doors to hang your coats up. The pub on site is very good value for money. All staff on the site is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend a stay here to family and friends.

Lovely holiday in this house.. The site it was on could do with some TLC though was great to have a pool onsite and staff were lovely. House inside was clean and we had all we needed. Wasn’t much of a view of the Tamar valley from the house.

Lovely accommodation just a few points.. Found dirty dish cloth in a kitchen cupboard. Cushions on settee had seen better days. Curtains hanging off not enough hooks. Cooker not to clean. Certainly not enough towls left or toilet rolls. Realy just needs a good deep clean and some TLC.

Nice but could be better, few little niggles like damp smell down stairs, curtain hooks missing so looked scruffy ,light bulbs missing or not working .. Still had a very enjoyable holiday .

Beautiful place that was spotlessly clean and facilities on site were good too.. Property was so comfy and in a great setting. Only problem is it could do with a few minor repairs. Big crack beside front door, neither table lamps worked, no lightbulb in bed light and only one of two spots worked either, cooker hood nearly falls out when you open it, towel rail hanging on for dear life. Just sort those minor repairs and the property will be perfect

The accommodation was dated & needs serious TLC.. The outside space which was the main reason we booked this property was unable to be used, the outside furniture provided was old, unstable and in a terrible condition, we were unable to use it, considering it was 30deg heat we were stuck indoors. The "so called view over Tamar Valley" was overlooking a tarmac car park and the other accommodation opposite. The mattress in the main room was shocking, so old/cheap and uncomfortable after the 1st night my partner woke up in agony with his back & the following 2 nights slept in the 2nd bedroom on a single bed - unfortunately the single mattresses were not much better. not what we expect on holiday to be in a position that we need to sleep separately! The 2 x2 seater sofas were plastic so with the sun beaming through the window were so uncomfortable, and without being able to use the oustside space we had no alternative but to use. The sofas were uncomfortable & impractical. The park itself was nice but again needed TLC, the paintwork to the play area was shabby, the paintwork in general was shabby, the general park was shabby. We paid what we consider a lot of money for this holiday & it resulted in us leaving on Thursday morning despite being booked until Saturday, this is how disappointed we were in this holiday. I feel disgusted and let down. Unfortunately this is not what we have come to expect from Sykes Cottages, we have booked 3 holidays through yourself and have had a wonderful experience so far - this however has let you down badly. We are in the process of booking another holiday but will be cautious to use you again and will be looking elsewhere.

Downstairs windows could have been cleaned (outside) and a mat could have been provided for the bath.. As many people had noted in the guest book some where to hang towels would have been helpful. Otherwise a nice holiday cottage.

We loved the holiday cottage at Honicombe.. It had everything we needed, very well equipped. It was spacious and comfortable. Honicombe Park itself had a very nice bar area, gym and swimming pool, the food served in the bar was delicious. We liked the location as it was convenient for lots of nice places to visit such as Bude, Newquay Cotehele. The whole process with Sykes was pleasant and we almost certainly will be using them again.

Beautiful peaceful setting, excellent accommodation, so clean, comfortable and well equipped.. Liked the duplex with lounge/balcony upstairs and bedrooms downstairs which kept cooler at night. With lovely weather all week made our holiday perfect. Just one thing worth a mention the outside front area needed a tidy up and a patio table and couple of chairs to catch the afternoon sun would have been a nice addition. Thank you very much and glad we found this one.

We had a good holiday in spite of the rain.. The only thing which caused us a small problem was the lack of WiFi access. There is no WiFi at the property which was more of a problem than we had anticipated. This was compounded by the advertised site WiFi not functioning either. We enjoyed the apartment and general amenities but next time we would go for somewhere that offers access to private WiFi as we are all regular internet users and it did restrict our usage considerably.
