Absolutely gorgeous cottage, comfy beds, good size kitchen and great ensuite facilities in every room.. Perfect for 5/6 adults. Good location too.

Conveniently located for walks along the South Coast Trail.. Was a great base to explore the wonders of Cornwall. Rooms were spacious and the en suite facilities were welcome. The Hot Tub is shared with the other two cottages attached but is big enough to accommodate as many as ten people. Cooking facilities were functional. We had a wonderful stay. On the negative side I found the bed uncomfortable and was not a fan of the feather down duvet. Rooms were clean on the surface but could have benefitted form a deep clean. The log effect fire was quite noisy too and I struggled to connect to the wifi. (I was connecting to the wifi but it was stating no internet so was useless). The cooker could have done with some instructions as markings on the hobs were faded. Overall though I have to say we had a great stay. This feedback is offered to enable further enhancement of the facilities available.

We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage.. There was plenty of space with lots of storage for a big family. Everything was decorated in a tasteful seaside style. The scenery was amazing, set in beautiful country side. The added bonus of a hot tub at the end of a long walk was greatly appreciated. It would have been useful to have a net or cleaning tool to fish out grass etc. As three families sharing, made it a little mucky at times. I would say the times it takes to walk to the beaches is a little underestimated and the are quite hilly walks, however they are well worth the effort, absolutely stunning. We would definitely come back again.

It was great that each bedroom was en-suite.. So lovely to be able to see the sea from my bedroom. The dogs were also made very welcome, even when out and about most places allowed us to take the dogs in e.g. Tea Rooms/Pubs and some shops.

The property boasted a huge hot tub but sadly it was very lacking.. .. the lights in the tub didn't work at all making it impossible for my partner to use it due to limited mobility and he couldn't see to get in...also, only half of the tub had jets that functioned... quite disappointing really also it would be good if the kitchen utensils were of better quality - the saucepans and frying pans were not non-stick and awful to clean after use... a small thing, but hand wash or soap in the bathrooms would have been nice... having said that the accommodation was very well presented and clean and tidy..

Lovely cottage but for us the local beach and pub were not in easy walking distance more like 20 minutes and hard uphill to return so for those less mobile the car needed every trip out.. Lots of narrow lanes for access ok if no vehicle coming the other way! Beautiful location for fit people and again cottage excellent , camp shop cafe lovely and friendly but limited opening hours until season I think.hot tub shared not a problem but not clear from description we all thought.

We were a party of 3 couples - 6 adults.. Squirrels was a great place to stay for all of us. Some walked the South West coastal Path, some fished, some shopped, some lazed about on beaches (not saying which I did!). The site is beautiful and quiet. Even the cockerel only crowed quietly in the mornings.

We all had a lovely stay for the New Year in this extremely pleasant cottage.. It was a very spacious and well furnished property.Especially enjoyed the hot tub, used every day.Plenty of places to visit reasonably close.Enjoyed charity day on New Year's Day at the Lost Gardens of Heligan. We would thoroughly recommend this property or maybe the adjoining ones, must be fantastic in the Summer.

We had a lovely stay, it was a very lovely cottage and we would definitely consider coming again.. We thought some parts of the property were considerably dusty and a little unclean. Behind some furniture there were cobwebs, in corners of the rooms there were spiders / flies / cobwebs. As we were leaving we checked under the sofas for any children’s toys left behind and found a cardigan stuffed at the back which wasn’t any of ours which shows the sofas obviously aren’t pulled out to be cleaned. Overall a good stay and a lovely place. Many people have asked me where it was and I’ve reccomended.

This is a fabulous location to stay whether you are looking for walking/relaxing or exploring by car or cycling, in touch with nature Squirrels Dray is nestled between two other cottages. Ample room at Squirrels Dray with full kitchen and very adequate sized bedrooms with en-suites.[Dishwasher salt not supplied but dishwasher tabs were] A welcome pack of milk bread bacon eggs and sausages upon arrival in the fridge, these were absolutely delicious! [pity no butter was provided]. No games/dvd's as previous review mentioned. The wifi a bit hit and miss and is not secure. The swim spa provided had debris in it so were unable to use but good outside communal space with a couple of loungers and several wooden chairs and table. It was lovely awakening to the cockral calling and fresh sea air, the sea is visible from the upstairs bedrooms. The village pub is a good 30 minute walk [not 1/2 mile as we were advised] [no street lighting most of the way] Gorran Haven beach/harbour a leisurely walk down through the valley off piste take a torch after dusk. A visit to The Haven fish and chip shop is a must! All in all a very comfortable stay in contemporary well designed property. I would certainly recommend a stay here.

Great location, great cottage.. Only one small point for improvement, there is no light outsight near the car park. Not easy to reach your car, or reach the cottage from your car in the dark because the path is a bit bumpy.

We stayed at Squirrels Dray for a 60th birthday celebration at the end of September and it was quite possibly one of the most amazing self catering properties we have stayed in. The setting was great - a bit off the beaten track (but not for Cornwall!) and next to the campsite, with a hot tub, aviary and views down the valley to the sea. The interior was beautiful, care had obviously been taken in making it appeal to guests, with muted blues and sea-related decor throughout, with the most impressive seashell chandelier I have ever seen! It makes an impressive first impression when you first walk in as it is decorated to a high standard throughout and really has a wow factor when you first see it. The facilities at this property are great and there is an info book with walks to the beaches and information on the badger hide (which we couldn't use as there was a bees nest in it and my only criticism would be that this should have been removed and not just left in situ with a note on the door saying to enter at your own risk) and hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked although missing a couple of items we would have expected to see - washing up liquid and oven gloves being the main ones - but there was a dishwasher and freezer and plenty of crockery and other utensils. It was lovely to find a welcome pack milk, bacon, eggs and sausages in the fridge when we arrived, a very thoughtful touch which we definitely appreciated! All the bedrooms were great and had their own en-suites which was perfect. We had the ground floor bedroom and it was lovely to open the door in the morning to the courtyard and walk out to the benches to read the paper. There was also some native rabbits who came to visit in the early mornings but were too wild to entice closer with scraps of carrot peelings :-( The hot tub was amazing, we made sure we made use of it several times even though it was quite chilly in the evenings - it was great to sit and relax with the multi coloured lights in the dark! There weren't any instructions on how to use the hot tub other than standard hygiene information, which meant we had to fiddle around with the controls and never really knew if it was turned off or on fully. It would have been good to have had an instruction guide on using it properly. However, it was very large (accommodated 4 adults with room for plenty more) and very warm and was a lovely addition to the facilities. We had a small BBQ one evening and there was plenty of outdoor seating and tables for us to sit out if we wanted to. There is an aviary with various brightly coloured birds in next to the hot tub, and they have rabbits in the bottom of the cage. An unusual touch but a good and interesting focal point for the garden. The area was very quiet - we were a bit out of season so there weren't many campers at the adjoining campsite - but it was so peaceful. The cottage is in the middle of two others but we heard no noise and had no disruptions from them, even though they were both occupied. It was lovely that people could take dogs as well as this is the perfect part of the world for walking them. The only criticism I would make about the location is that the rear of the property very closely overlooks a messy, unsightly farm barn with broken down cars in the long grass and general farming rubbish scattered about. You don't notice it unless you look out the rear of the house from the bedrooms, and with far nicer views to the front it's unlikely to matter, but it is still a small negative given the beautiful setting at the front and the general standard of the accommodation. If you stay here I would recommend doing the walks to the three local beaches as recommended in the cottage info guide (although be warned that Hemmick Beach is down an extremely steep road and the walk can be taxing coming back up) The instructions are clear in the cottage guide book and they are well worth the effort. I would recommend allowing more time than the info pack says though, as the walk into Gorran Haven and the Harbour takes approx 20-25 minutes and not the 10 minutes the book states! And it is all downhill on the way there.... All in all I would recommend this property without hesitation. When we booked I thought it was a bit pricey for the time of year but it was worth every penny for this fantastic holiday cottage. I cannot recommend it enough.

A lovely holiday cottage, in a fantastic location for visiting this area of Cornwall.. The lost gardens of heligan is only a couple of miles down the road and well worth a visit. Lovely hosts, would recommend!

The cottage booking, the location and the cottage itself were excellent.. However we had an extremely unpleasant exchange with the owners which frankly marred the holiday. They were very rude and aggressive to us when we apparently mistakenly used a farm track to walk back to the cottage one morning. They run a substantial holiday business at Treveague but don't appear to have the customer relations skills to go with it and for this reason I would not consider returning to this property and I would not be able to recommend it to others unless they were guaranteed not to meet the owners. A shame as the cottage itself was beautifully and professionally interior decorated, and the location near the sea was perfect.

Had a fantastic few days, absolutely loved the cottage and the farm. The swim spa was great and having the aviary right next to it really added to the experience. There was easy access to local beaches and attractions. Would definitely visit again.
